I was an industrial construction worker for many years and we actually do stretch every morning. I don't think it's exactly required but it is recommended at the very least so our Safety guys make sure we do it to help lessen work place injuries. There are different levels of enthusiasm tho.

Some of the more interesting things never got caught on camera. Like the time in New Orleans where the music started and ... nothing. Music stopped. Edward Villella walked out and apologized for starting in the wings instead of on stage. Then gave a wonderful performance. Love that now we have these to share.

12:05 from my experience in construction, most major construction companies have a warm up/stretch session at the start of the day. Most employees of smaller companies will SCATTER and avoid these sessions like the plague for zero reason.

Your videos made me want to start ballet at 19 so so bad. Your fittings for all kinds of dancers in very different stages of their Ballet journey give me some motivation! I am unsure if I can afford classes since this I will have a lot going on and I am unsure if my parents (Depending on them) will be supportive. I am also terrified of getting a bad teacher. I do plan on exclusively doing privat lessons (if at all) since I don't plan to do any competitions, shows or else. I want to build ankle strength, get more exercise in a week, improve my balance and flexibility. I would also probably not go en pointe cause...dang that's too expensive. However maybe you manage to fully convince me!

Every time you watch Ginger Rogers you are shocked with her talent. she really did dance better than Fred Astaire because she did it "backwards and in high heels".lol it was not well known that she could tap dance on her toes I suppose.

Ok. Like many others I started dancing when I could stand. Then I added ice dance - did all the ‘exams/tests’ and got to life dance level (foxtrot on ice not easy!). But the thought of going on pointe on the ice?!!!! YIKES! Christ we darn the pointe and we use resin on the floor… how the hell is she stable on ice without anything?! That’s so risky but amazing 😃⛸️🩰

As a former Pole dance teacher, I usually have used 10-12 Inch heels, also with the intend of making students and teachers a like to always point there feet. But I did ballet 100's of years ago when I was very young. And I have used points a few times just for fun, but damn it's pure pain if once is not used to the "difference" in weight placement :p I've realised that a lot of people think it's the same as wearing exotic dancer shoes and it makes me giggle when they realise that it's no way near :P also, I love you videos and they always make my day

I'm too lazy to scroll through all the comments to find out if this question of yours got answered (it probably did). The ducks and pigs en pointe are from a ballet based on Victorian children's author and illustrator Beatrix Potter's stories, the first of which you have no doubt heard of --- The Tale of Peter Rabbit (he, of course, features in the ballet too). The duck is Jemina Puddleduck (cute, but not very bright). I'm not sure about the pigs. It might be from The Tale of Pig Robinson. She wrote other children's tales too -- 23 little child-sized books total, with charming, well-dressed animals.

If the ice is cold enough and her shoes are damp from her body heat the shoes would try to freeze to the ice, giving her some traction. Plus the ice rink doesn't look like it has been swept for a little while.

I'll bet the ice dancer has curling shoe gripper added. They come in sheets and different colors and are cut, beveled and glued on DIY style with rubber cement. The dancer math sounds a little "manic phase" to me.

You should actually use a high percent rubbing alcohol and NOT acetone for glue or paint, because if you don’t work really fast, the acetone will actually just make whatever you’re trying to remove more solid and much more difficult to get off😖

I have a one year-old daughter and because I have two boys I never thought about girls things to do till now and I really always appreciate ballet. Do you have any advice or a video if someone is thinking about putting their child into ballet without having any solid information ? And when should I start everything it says about three or four years old any advice from anybody for a first time girl mom? After watching your videos, you make me feel very confident that if you find the right people, my daughter will be very well taken care of maybe one day I could visit your store. My dream was to be a dancer, but my mom was always very sick and was unable to put me in anything of the sort I was more of a caretaker till she passed so now I want to afford my daughter every privileged possible. give her the best girl childhood that I never could have.
