Thank You. I needed this so much right now. I was just diagnosed with a rare heart condition, and I am legally blind. I struggled for years, but now I am on great new meds, and it is helping me a lot. I have a lot of energy and my thinking is really clear now. I haven't felt this good in a long time. I was thinking that now I can do whatever I want. I decided that I really wanted to sell my art. I have been an artist all my life, and I want to keep doing it. I was excited. So I made a list of what I needed to do and my excitement turned into being overwhelmed. How can I do all these things being blind? Then I saw your video, and now I am so happy. You are right. I just need to take the first step, and that is exactly what I am going to do. Thank you so much for making this video. It was extremely helpful ❤

Thank you Margot. I needed to hear all this and more. I finally decided to start my journey as a full time Artist after years of creating and not taking my art as serious. It was refreshing and feel like you channel is a very good fit for me.

This was very insightful and would love to know if you have a follow up video with more specifics like how many products did you start with? What social media avenue worked best and how did you tag people, what print on demand provider has the best products for artists? I know that's a lot to ask and I would be happy with just one answer!! Thanks so much for your valuable insight and encouragement!!! You're a real gem!!

Thank you Margot, this has helped me a lot, I just didn’t know where to start, I had and Etsy shop however I started paying more in fees than what I was selling. I need to learn how to make art prints in other sizes than A4/A5 etc, also what materials to use when printing them. I would love to create greetings cards and again, learn how to print my art on the card the correct way. I understand it’s a huge learning curve. I am just so full of enthusiasm and I don’t want to lose that.

Patty-I recently had a friend who stated that she wanted me to paint a picture for her, and age would pay me. I don't know what to charge. I'm in the beginning part of my journey. She saw some of my abstract botanical pieces and wants something and is willing to pay. Help!!!!

Really interesting subject matter. Having a unique idea/concept/ product (like your artwork), motivation, determination, and hard graft seem to be the main factors. Does a bit of luck help ☺️? Anyway, thank you for sharing your experience and expertise!

Please do a video on ethics. You inspired me to turn objects into ballerinas but that’s your thing, per se. IMO But we are all inspired by something so when we mimic an artist or create something heavily inspired by another artist how do you give credit to your inspiration? Like I want to write a note on the back, inspired by Margot. I’m a hobby artist but we have my whimsical art hanging everywhere in our house and my husband keeps encouraging me to sell it. I may try some prints and etc…. If my inspired idea comes out beautifully and I sell it it feels like I stole it but I love the idea and want to do it a little also, so what do you do?? I’m NO competition to your talent. At all. But still. Your thoughts please?

Hi Elle! This is an excellent question! I have so much to say on this topic lol but until I make a video about it, I think this video really nails my philosophy > kzbin.info/www/bejne/nZOnpqGuh8uVnck ps. I'm flattered that my ballerinas have inspired you! Trust your instincts and like Austin Kleon says, "steal" from as many sources as you can, not just one, and the result will look far more unique to you.
