I put together something like this in Legacy when Hammer first came out but was running 3 color, which with fetches and Hierarch wasn't to awkward, but might be now with 8 lands that don't make colored mana. The only "pump" spells main deck were Berserk, Scale Up, and Hammer (4 of each) so even a lowly Noble Hierarch could do it in 1 swing. 4-0ed the first FNM I took it to and didn't drop a single game. Had to use Enlightened Tutor (this was pre Urza's Saga) and it could get hammer or Sigardas Aid, but unfortunately to top of library instead of to hand. It was good. Really really good. Then Force of Vigor became a thing that hit Hammer, Aid, and Inkmoth. And it suddenly wasn't nearly as good. I love the idea, but I was convinced Hammer Time does hammer things better in Modern. But I never dropped green... Very interested in this list. I'm going to throw it together and play it.

In round 4 game 2, why not get hammer with sfm? You can cast it immediately so it equips to sfm. That way it survives fury and the next turn you can get kaldra or bskull with gift and put it into play with sfm. I think the only thing that kills you is bolt/heat on sfm in response to the equip but that would always kill you. Or am I missing something here (I'm not terribly up to date with modern decks).

yeah it narrows down the opponents answers. Like what you mention, opponent will win if they have any removal.

They also have terminate which is what I was most afraid of, which is why I waited. Looking back though, I probably should have just gotten the hammer and make them have it.

Interesting list, you should probably switch out some, if not all, of the kor outfitters for Kemba, Kah enduring. I'm curious if this build actually increases hammertimes turn 3 win percentage in exchange for having a worse late game.

Kemba Kha enduring only equips to itself or another cat right? That doesn't seem like a good alternative to me.
