You get 100 spirit from the campaign. This build is only using 3 auras and clarity for a total of 100 spirit. (When I swapped to hybrid I stopped using cannibalism)

the unique boots that makes bodys explode into gas is insane btw, makes all the mapping events easy and it'll kill anything trying to melee you

objectively they are very far from insane. they help with random stragglers and when holding down an area like when rift mobs are swarming you but they also have no evasion, no energyshield, low movement speed, no life, no resists. you have to build around them and in return you get some nice extra aoe. decent but not insane

Thanks for the in depth breakdown of this build. Really helpful for brand new exiles like myself. Was wondering what runes would you recommend for socketing into the bow?

I'm glad I can be helpful for new players! As for the runes the only option that should work is +30 spirit. Those soul cores are expensive and not needed, it only allows you to run an extra aura (probably grim feast). The cores alone are around 3 divines so unless you really are trying to mini max it's not worth it. You could also try finding a widowhail that already has soul cores socketed for cheaper. That's what I did and I was able to get a 269% widowhail with both cores for 6 divines. Again only upgrade to this if you have the extra currency. It's not mandatory and not a massive gain.

ya when i see all the stuff about poison concoction the only thing i could think is, bleeding and explosion concoction must be amazing - considering poison is the worst of damaging ailments. worst base damage for it, that is bleeding concoction looks like it would be fun. it also frees up those 4 ascendancy nodes not needing to get into the poison stuff. being able to have more flask charges gained AND immune to slows sounds very very nice

IDK if its worse for base damage anymore with the ailment changes. If there was still bleed pops tho bleed concoction would be nutty.

Its got worse clear and damage but better survivability and bosses are basically perma CC'd. To be honest I'm not really the kind of build maker that is constantly looking for better I'm just looking to play stuff thats fun and trying new things.

Have you tried pure evasion with acrobatics? That's the route I took after using your earlier guide, haven't tried es yet.

It's probably fine, you'll still get one shot but it'll probably be pretty similar to the hybrid version overall.

thanks alot for the guide! i have one suggestion - if you dont mind. snakebite is pointless. i have such nice gloves with attack speed, crit, rarity find etc. .. and when mapping.. why would i ever want to add another poison to mobs which die when they see my attack? i assume it might be useful for some pinnacle bosses or sth... but i really fail dont need the add poison... and rather have more rarity, attack speed etc. ... just my two cents, i might be wrong.

have you tried using gas arrow as clearing and on Pconc as single target only? Just curious on how that would feel. Weapon swapping and pointswapping for gas arrow only

I haven't tried it but it's probably okay. Idk how weapon skill trees work if you use a bow for both weapon swaps. Id assume it doesn't work but if it did you could have one tree for clear and one tree for single target.

Mana cost is the only issue I see here. Having a Widowhail set is definitely cost you at least 200+ mana for each gas arrow. It's still costly even with inspiration

I’m running without additional projectiles support, and use 25% more attack speed With attack speed and projectile speed on quiver you can easily throw a flask in any mobs pack (which will die from poison spread) Clear speed this way feels very fast, and also it feels much more poisonous)

Are the Poison nodes "Wasting" and "Deterioration" not a good chunk of damage for this build? Wondering why those 2 nodes are not taken

Deterioration is a very good node it's just pretty far from where we path. It's not worth pathing there for 9 points. Wasting is where my next points would go. This current tree is for a lvl 90 character so at lvl 93 you'd have it. At the current power level of this skill there isn't really a need for more damage, this tree is opting for more survivability.

I don't play poison concoction until lvl 58. But you can try using a "glowswarm" unique ring and that should help with more mana flask charges. When you get your second trial done at around lvl 40 make sure to use connected chemistry. I have a leveling guide on my channel and a written leveling guide if that is easier to understand.

Where did you get the information that herald of plague stacks aditively with the ascendancy node?

A few different people have commented on it and ruetoo also said it stacks. I'm still not 100% sure if it's spreading the highest damage poison twice or if it's just increasing the radius.

Been trying to build out a "Plague" style Acolyte Monk using Chaos and poison. While fun....I spend most of my boss fights playing through the mechanics repeatedly until eventually the boss decides to die. Your videos gave me some ideas to change my build up though.....it's just insanely expensive to keep moving skill points around multiple times a day trying to figure it out, and being new to POE trying to understand how chaos/poison scale and do or do not boost one another. Luckily I have my witch to farm with, because the monk (first toon) is going terribly damage-wise...I just don't want to play a Jedi monk build like everyone else.

Acolyte monk is my next project, still not sure how it will be but if it's good I'll probably make some videos on it. This is probably the best time ever to be new to PoE. There's so much to learn and so little that's understood. Right now it's just about trying stuff out and having fun. Right now chaos/poisons spells are in a weird spot. If you are trying to play a spell variant there's not much out there that is strong. Unfortunately things like essence drain and contagion don't really have the base damage to be super strong. Chaos dot skills feel like a bit of an after thought in their current state. Luckily GGG is one of if not the best companies when it comes to game development so I'm sure it'll get better as time goes on.

Why would you not have the node to double evasion from chest - thought u needed that if taking acrobatics

It's good to have especially when you're pure evasion. But since this build is a hybrid build I prefer nodes that scale both es and evasion. I might consider taking those nodes later if I feel the need for more evasion but for the most part having around 50% total evade chance feels fine.

What lvl does Pconc get its last link? Im lvl 87 and havent got it yet. Also, why did you take cannabilism off for clarity? Do we need the mana regen?

Lvl 90. Cannibalism costs 20 spirit, so without any other forms of spirit you can't run it. The only reason why clarity is in the build is because 10 spirit was left over. It's nice to have the extra mana regen but not needed. If you get more spirit you can drop clarity.

Doing an crit based Ice Concoction build for myself, just hit maps. Feels great, freezes everything, damage is crazy. My only gripe is i lack any attack speed and proj speed on quiver, so it feels a bit slow. Would like to see your take on that version :)

Im lvl 86 just perma freezing t15 bosses. The clear is the only sus part so far.

I’m using chaos over time skill with chaos freeze support (don’t remember skill names) Normal mobs in t15 insta dies from poison spread, while on tanky mob you cast a spell and boom, your pconc start freezing that mob(boss) Ofc it does not have 100% more freeze build up as cold conc has, but it is the way to have freeze with pconc

Hi Kass Happy New Year! I just want to ask about your pconc crit rate, dps on hit, and your poison dps if you don't mind. Just for reference on how much I should get. Currently I'm running a Pconc CI build, just because I hate chaos damage so much 😂 Sitting at 4k ES. 8.9k eva (75%). Crit rate is about 23%.

Going to try out this build as the idea of using a bow and poison i'm loving, the unique bow, i;m not 100% on using but will test it anyway, if i wanted to get a different bow, whether it be unique or rare, what stats should i look for?

I wouldn't play this build without widowhail it's where most of the power comes from. The only thing close would be a +6 proj rare bow.

I really don't think you need the flask charges gained on ascendancy tree, it's better to get 5 passive skill points, I never get below 50 charges without it playing t15 +2 maps. using the same passive tree in terms on flask sustain, just use fine belt it's 100x better

I sacrificed poison ascendency nodes to life flask node and use belt that allows your life flask also recover es, so now i have about 2.5k es, 2.5k life, some evasion and 25% damage taken from mana before life (tree and anointment) and x2 regen from life flask cause it works on both hp and es pool, seems good but yeah 5 poison stack mean 50% less damage

When testing that belt I noticed only an instant life flask would let you use a flask when on full life. It's still really good for when you get chunked for all your ES but is slightly annoying that you can't use a non instant flask on full life.

Herald of plague is additive with your ascendancy so you get double the proliferation. Bobo is a fitting username.

Fr tho, get grim feast, for massive clear speed, throw in corpsewade and replace snakebit with res glove, your dmg is pretty much overkill at this point.
