This is incredible! How do Aardman do it? First Star Wars visions season 2 back in 2022 with, and now Pikachu of all things! There’s no stopping this company now! I can’t wait to see the new Wallace and Gromit movie on Netflix very soon as well.

I can't wait for whatever comes out of this! Pokemon in stopmotion just feels right in a way I can't really explain. And with Aardman, I can trust that this thing is going to be both sincere and hilarious!

This technically isn’t the first time we have seen Aardman work with an existing franchise. They previously had done the Star Wars short I Am Your Mother for Star Wars Vision’s second season.

I grew up with both Aardman and Pokemon, so it will be interesting what they come up with. Considering we have to wait till 2027, it better not be just one single short.

Well, stop-motion does take ages to do, so it's unlikely to be an entire movie or series. Their usual Wallace & Gromit TV movies are around 25 minutes, so I'd imagine that sort of length

If I ever saw Aardman collabing with a Japanese company, I was expecting them to do it with Studio Ghibli first considering Nick Park and Hayao Miyazaki's friendship. Not to mention that Ghibli distributed the shorts and Shaun the Sheep in Japan under their Ghibli Museum, Mitaka Library. NGL A collab with Aardman would've been the perfect way for Ghibli to do Earwig and the Witch instead of a CGI movie, because Goro Miyazaki said that the 3D CGI art style of that film was inspired by Aardman and LAIKA's stop motion. It was also a nice way to save on budget and production time on what is a made-for-TV movie.
