Pokémon Black & White - Early Wild Battle Theme (~October 2009)

Thanks to FrostedGeulleisia for extensive documentation of the SDAT commits in the BW source repo. This one was taken from an October 2009 commit.
There's plenty more music to be documented, but I figured I'd upload these themes because they're some of the most interesting ones.

iirc this placeholder was Junichi Masuda’s doing and Go Ichinose made the theme the final game got

@@Terapagos3000 What do you mean "Only ever saw it in pokemon?" also this clearly was a placeholder, it says early so it was an early build of the wild battle theme, it wasn't the final. Uncalled for to be rude tbh.

This gives off huge HGSS/Johto vibes. I love the final BW wild battle theme, so I'm really glad they changed this!

Well, HGSS and BW share a vast majority of instruments, probably that's why.

Seems really unfocused but I can hear a bit of the foundation for what would eventually become Sun/Moon’s battle/totem theme

If you search MTM-Junichi Masuda- this theme was also made in an orchestral style way back

Oh wow, you're right! At first I thought maybe the concert was from before Black and White's release, before that piece of music for scrapped. But it was actually almost a year after the release, so it's really interesting that they chose to perform that piece.

This is great! I like how you can hear part of the Unova gym leader theme in this version. Another person mention that you can hear some of the Sun/Moon totem theme too which I didn’t catch at first. I wonder how many other hidden themes there are? I’m glad they changed it to the final version but I still like that we get to hear this one.

I pretty much heard all of Pokemon Soul Silver, Black & White and X&Y beta songs. Ruby & Sapphire, Diamond & Pearl and Black & White earlier Pokemon sprites and scrapped ones. All of this stuff Game Freak hiding for many years. Well, it's not the first time. Gold & Silver gigaleaks back in 2018 & 2020 with all those early sprites too and the playable early versions of Diamond and Pearl March & June 2006 builds.

Sounds very Gen 4-ish. I prefer the final but it's no bad track by any means. Would take this over XY Wild Battle any day.

I personally love the XY wild battle theme, though I might have some bias since X was my first Pokemon game.

i LOVE this one so much. defo prefer the final one tho. but this one kinda gives me sinnoh vibes from the energy and the melody, but on BW's soundfont and that's beautiful

For me this has a same vibe as the first more traditional/generic battle theme from the early areas in Scarlet/Violet.

Is it just me or is the cheerful, bouncy vibe of this track quite reminiscent of the wild battle theme from B2W2? Almost like Game Freak might have taken inspiration from the beta track when arranging the B2W2 version?
