I 100% agree it’s nice to see my little brother happy when he opens packs and gets good pulls . it sucks when you spend 180$+ and they only get 2-3 v cards 😢 I work hard for my money so I’ll deft be sticking to this set for a why’ll 😊

I hope you have the same luck. There is a chance. But "luck" is the keyword. More than likely you will pull a full art and a rainbow. Honestly, they need to get rid of rainbows so you have a better shot at a an alt art. Not trying to be a downer. Just preparing you. I've opened 6 boxes so far... Trust me, the odds are not in your favor.

I think that’s a good thing. This is supposed to be a kids hobby so why should it be expensive on kids and parents to get all the cards from a set? Why should Pokémon care about investors? They make no money at all from resales of anything so if I was leading a company aimed at kids between 6-18 I’d make it as accessible as possible so everyone is able to get exactly what they want.

I’ll put it this way. As a set it’s easy mode to me from this era that have great cards pulls are easy overall it’s a fun set I 100% agree. However, artwork wise it can’t compete with evolving skies the eevees, rayquaza, trainer cards, the dragonite just the whole set has some amazing artwork. High risk high reward but of course this is my opinion. We have had a rough start with rebel clash and chilling reign and battle styles. Still to this day I would not be surprised in the years evolving skies and brilliant stars are the ones everyone wants for that nostalgia feel when we are all 20+ older lol

whenever somebody asks me why i dont open my sealed product i tell them its because i see the sealed product as the collectable. asking me why i dont open it up is like asking somebody who collects singles why they dont play the tcg with their $300 cards. its always hard to get into sealed collecting at first because you have to break that desire to want to open every thing but after a while you start looking at your sealed stuff like you would any other collectible and it becomes hard to open rather than hard to keep sealed. for example when i started sealed collecting i had a box i threw sealed booster packs into when i would open a collection box that i was not intending to keep sealed. pretty much id open something open some of the packs and take out some of the packs to put into my sealed collection with the original intention of opening them later to satiate my desire to open packs so i would not go into the stuff i actually wanted to keep sealed. its been a year and i have about 2 booster boxes worth of loose packs from various sets in that box now and although my original intention was to use these to satiate my desire to open packs i am finding it extremely hard to open any of them. its a very strange phenomenon but at some point the sealed stuff starts to contain as much value to you as the none sealed stuff.

The collector's mindset is fascinating. Thanks for sharing your personal insight. I find myself obsessing over sets (both sealed and master sets) and I definitely can relate. It's to the point now, that I feel a tinge of guilt when I open stuff now 😂

For me, the pool of these modern expansions is too high. Many of us collectors have the possibility to buy only one box or two, and the hyper/alternate slot should be guaranteed. Moreover, to find a rainbow trainer is not the same thing as to find an alternate art Pokémon. I feel that nowadays is way too random the whole thing. I prefer the old expansions (that are impossible to find)

My family collects (many of us) we opened a total of 12 booster boxes since the release. Not one single Arceus V Alt Art yet, and because of that I personally gave up and just purchased it for under $50 from another collector. It is so awesome that I decided to send it in for grading because the centering, surface, edges, corners looked amazing (to me). Even if it comes back an 8 -- I will adore it. Such a beautiful card. My Arceus V Full Art is off center -- such a shame because I really like that card a lot! I have not pulled a single Lumineon Full or Alt art and that is just crazy to me! Even more crazy it took me and my family all of those booster boxes to find a Liepard Reverse Holo (GIGGLE). I agree this booster box is very nice to display!

I just bought/opened one, got 2 charizard v's, alt art arceus, alt art zard, and a bunch of v's and trainer galleries...so insane!!! The ETB i got the normal and rainbow zard vstar's and single packs i got both of arceus, i love this set lol

I honestly am really enjoying Brilliant Stars. I've opened two Booster Boxes, three ETBs, and probably 30-40 from other products and I've pulled the three best cards and only missing 84 cards from my master set excluding promos. Definitely intend to get more once BB are cheaper, but singles are looking more and more attractive.

i opened an entire case of brilliant stars booster boxes and two of the boxes were double secret rares and two had no secret rares. And there wasnt an Alt art in the entire case unfortunately

Opened 1 bb of this Brilliant stars set and got 1 tg card only 1, like my box was broken. Good thing my single blister luck has granted me; 2 rainbow zard vstar, 2 rainbow arceus v star, zard alt art. Im starting to open more single packs then bb cause of this. Just my thoughts. Although I did average about 12 hits (including TG), I didn't have that much luck with alt arts. I opened eight booster boxes and only got two alt arts. I had much more luck with sleeved boosters and pulled both zards

I haven't had any luck will the Brilliant Stars series. ✨️ Last week I purchased 30 blister packs, no big hits, no Charizard. Couple weeks before that I purchased 2 Brilliant Stars battle stadium boxes and another 25 blister packs and no big hits no Charizard. I've also purchased 2 Brilliant Stars etb's and again nothing significant. It's been a major disappointment for me. Today I did purchase a Brilliant Stars booster box which has 36 packs. Maybe my luck will finally change but my faith is dwindling. I have have good luck with XY Evolutions ETB' in contrast.

HM I found an Elite Trainer box at Cracker Barrel and it code cards were faded and all black boarder. XD I started looking at the back of the cards and it's terribleish print quality varying on the card. (they're real as far as I can tell because I don't see any other flags for fakes but it made me worry for a bit because some of them don't have the full pokeball art on the back.)

rainbow rares are beautiful. the multilayered texture is stunning and the regular full arts dont have that. and they look amazing displayed next to each other. i think people hate on rainbows because they arent hyped or overly valuable. they even have the same multi layered texture as vmax alt arts and nobody craps on those.

It’s more so in the past the rainbows have made the image look blurry or faded in a way, this set is the first set where the rainbows look noticeable better than previous sets, the idea is they definitely are supposed to be rarer, it’s just consumer demand has forced the value down on them generally in the past because of the aforementioned issues.

@@zabvza7457 i only have like 3 1/2 pages of rainbows between GX and VMAX and i dont see the blurriness youre referring to. The images are crisp, and you have the dual layered texture that blows away the standard texture on the regular ones. Use sunlight if you want the dual texture to stand out like a punch in the face. Maybe im one of the few that genuinely appreciate the iridescent multi layered textured rainbows more than the regular version. Or maybe Im one of few who genuinely took the time to see their complexity. I agree that In the community this topic is lopsided to say the least.

Hi Jake! I need your help, because idk what to do😟 I am using the double sleeve + toploader method for my most expensive cards (no grading plans). But I am also using a side loaded PVC-free binder for my “not to expensive” cards. I’ve heard that long term using top loaders can damage the cards. What would you recommend? PLEASE ANSWER🥺✨

Top loaders won't damage the card if your using penny sleeves

If you're double sleeving(IE; pro-fit inside a penny sleeve) and then in a top loader you should be fine. Binder wise, I would still at least penny sleeve or pro-fit cards before putting them in a ringless binder.

@@zpacelynx I don't have a clue who Tinmen is but bare minimum I would go with would be card into sleeve, sleeved card into a top loader. Bagging the toploader could keep the toploader from getting scratched up if you're really handsy with your collection.
