I mean this was such an amazing tournament bringing all of kanto's best trainers the battle with their best teams was just so Epic that I can't help but imagine a full power tournament in Johto, Hoenn, Sinnoh, Unova, Kalos, Aloha and Galar.

@@rampage0092 real talk I was shocked that Red even went for that first Curse. I thought he'd probably try two Body Slams knowing Snorlax could take at least 2 moves before falling. Heck it all worked out so it's all good. I mentioned Venusaur being MVP again because I believe that Leech Seed during the battle with ugh...Lance or Oak....recently proved to give him the victory there too thanks to Leech Seed!

Close combat was definitely the biggest read. Mega Kangaskhan was a huge problem for Red's team and sacrificing Charizard Y wasn't a bad play at all since Charizard Y got outsped by almost everyone else remaining in his team, but Venasaur in sun outsped everyone except for his scarfed Nidoking Edit: Giovanni had a horrible turn 1. He should have Psystrike twice. Aura Sphere 160 BP(No Stab, SE) vs 110 sp def Psystrike 150 BP(Stab, No SE) vs 65 def If Giovanni went for Psystrioe turn 1, he would have 2hko Snorlax and therefore pehaps causing a win for Giovanni.

Eeeehhhh, Red has been associated with both Venusaur and Charizard depending on the medium. The only one he does not have in any versions is blastoise. Also a lot of Venusaurs plays here REQUIRE the sun setup from Zard Y, so you could really interpret it as Red using his 2 signature starters to take the game.

Mewtwo 130 Speed vs 100 speed Mega Kangaskhan Tie Dugtrio 120 speed vs 100 speed Nidoking is scarfed, and still outspeeds Garchomp 102 speed vs 100 Gyarados 81 vs 100 Aside from Gyarados, who can set up Dragon Dance in front of it anyways, Char Y outspeeds nobody and only Nidoking isn't a huge threat to it.

YES!!!😆 Red Won! I bet Giovanni came in thinking he would win as easily as he did last time. Like they say double The Pride the heart of the Fall! And now we get the battle we've all been waiting for. The rematch of the century. A battle between Rivals that started it all. The two strongest trainers in Kanto that held from Pallet Town! Red vs Blue!! I also liked how red managed to get one over on Giovanni when he switched into Charizard to face Mewtwo knowing there was a high chance it would KO Charizard but was willing to sacrifice his strongest Pokemon to take down Giovanni strongest Pokemon. That was a move not even I was expecting. I would have used Arcanine and used Extreme Speed to take it out but the fact that he wanted to use intimidate on Garchomp made complete sense considering intimidate only works when the Pokemon of that ability enters the battle. So that was definitely a smart move, risky but it paid off.

Red's Venusaur is his real beast of the bunch. My brother and I once decided to take on Soul Silver Red with my Lv 100 Legendary birds but NO healing just to see what would happen. Y'all. Venusaur survived Moltres' Heatwave, Sleep Powdered us and nearly killed my phoenix by spamming Sludge Bomb a couple of time. For an AI, we were super impressed. Moltres only beat Venusaur because it woke up in time.
