battle was awesome, but doesn't mean I won't drop it, I skipped the entirety of the last half of sinnoh and all of black and white since i got bored and sort of done with the anime. Honestly fanfiction at this point was more entertaining and fulfilling. Kalos was fun and good build up this point, made me feel like I was watching Ash going through the Hoenn region which was my favorite. But honestly who watches an anime with a journey like this to just see the character lose AGAIN in the end? Its over 800 episodes now, in comparison with something like One Piece this is pretty shitty not gonna lie. And this franchise has a bunch of money thrown into it. Honestly I wouldn't be as salty if he would just get a chance to fight ALL the champions, really hate how the leagues are set up in the anime, like I actually felt like I would miss something with Kalos if I didn't watch it. So I dunno, I just wish he could of won this for once because honestly Team Flare and shit are kinda boring like i just dont care for the team stuff LOL But thats just me.

TheTrueNight And look, he is probably going to WIN that one because its not an actual official 'league' its probably going to be akin to the orange islands and battle frontier which ash has cleared. Also who says it has to end at the league for Ash? Here is the problem with that logic and why it is inexcusable: A) Ash gets 5 new pokemon every time, and other than them constantly resetting pikachu, with those 5 new he has to go through the struggle of losing battles and gyms and training them so their is plenty of 'losing' points they can do in the anime right before the big league where we can see the fruits of that struggle. B) He can still go to the next region and challenge the league and gyms there and that wouldn't stop his journey, he would just keep challenging himself! C) What the actual fuck is a pokemon master at this point, this isnt even defined at least for ash anymore and has lost its meaning. The need to redefine that meaning. Like I felt i understood pokemon master in Origins and was THOROUGHLY satsified like hell yeah he succeeded! So... I mean there is a better way to go about showing Ash's development as a character and with the money this franchise generates it shouldn't be that hard. Hell Ash probably could of won this league if he used all his strongest pokemon he has collected from over the regions and design his team based on that. (I mean Ash's charizard probably would absolutely steamrolled the hell out of Alaine's. Would of been so awesome to see him mega evolve into an 'Ash's' Charizard rather than be a Charizard x or Y) People also won't get bored of seeing Ash win leagues as long as they focused on giving the other characters just as much when it comes to development and struggles have more old characters and pokemon come back! Hell show Ash lose the league once and then come back to challenge it and take the trophy home to his mom. I mean the problem with him losing is that its just SO inconsistent with his displays of battle prowess and strength. As the dude who nearly wrecked Diantha's MEGA EVOLVED GARDEVOIR. He should of won to Alain in a close match, whose Charizard lost against an Elite 4's mega Blastoise. There are just...so many problems with the writing which why even though it has improved ALOT and animation quality is the best it has ever been. The fact they Ash is basically just a living mascot for a pokemon journey and vessel to display some cool pokemon from the region rather than an actual character at this point it just...disappointing.

Well while everyone is being salty over a lose, I do agree it wasn't fair for Ash to lose but we got the Team Flare arc to go. So there is a possible rematch between Ash and Alan during it but I'm being hopeful at this point. I'm stating my opinion on this issue, while I didn't like the outcome, I choose to accept and hope for next time. Maybe Alan will confess something other than being part of Team Flare to Ash if you seen the trailer for the Team Flare Arc

Am I the only one who's happy that the Journey will continue? The entire show is a filler. I joined the ride nearly 19 years ago and been along with it ever since. It's more about the journey rather than the destination for me. I've seen Ash grow (except BW, when he literally became a kid again) and he's accomplished a lot! And almost every league he's gotten better (again except BW). Ash is slowly getting there. Slow and sure. I'm just happy to watch his quest. The XY series has been a great part of it, I enjoyed it more than BW. Looking forward to Alola.

I get that people are salty, but what I don't get is why. Alain was a great trainer, and one that we came to know rather than have him suddenly introduced in the league. The fight was amazing, and could've gone either way easily. Alain was simply stronger.
