@Ziad Abou-Nasr the problem for Giratina is, the beta dex entry #487 was for キマイラン (Kimairan), a cancelled legendary. So Giratina isn't necessarily a substitute of the discontinued Kimairan, though it eventually became one of the main legendary trio. What I'm speculating is that Giratina wasn't supposed to exist until they've come up with such an idea since Dialga and Palkia already represented time and space
