I hate "it was just a dream" endings. It makes the adventure pointless.

cherubin7th It really happened in the timeline, but due to good choices, Celebi was able to reverse time and prevent it from happening. Basically because the player made it to the proper end, Celebi was able to restore the world. Ethan just thinks it's a dream, and the world is at peace.

@Hollow Tim The game really doesn't explain much. Celebi's time travel is basically used as a get-out-of-jail-free card, there's no elaboration as to how it does it. Just that somehow because you made the right choices, Celebi was able to go back and fix it. It's still a generally nice ending, despite the gaps in it.

But I didnt understand the dream ending, does Celebi return back to the past Brandon and Ethan? Or he was just on his sanctuary in Illex Forest?

From what I got, Celebi rewarded them by pulling them back into a timeline where the infection never happened. Time travel is their thing after all. But still, that timeline they left behind will still be there.

The other endings were interesting, though I wasn't sure how I felt about the first ending where they passed it off as a dream. The ending where Brando dies in the end was really sad, the ending where they set off to "save the world" seemed like a pretty good ending. I would say the ending where it was a dream seemed like the neutral ending and the ending where Brando dies was the bad ending and the ending where they set off to help everyone and kill off the rest of the infected seemed like the good ending. Those are my thoughts on that though, that may not be the case but still.

I agree with your statement almost 100%. But, I kind of like the fact that it was all an apparent dream. I know it seems like the easy way out and all. But zombies are freakin' terrible.. xD Just to have all the problems disappear and for people to not actually be dead is a big relief for myself... and the fact they all had hidden 'evils'. The creator was very skillful in that field of story telling.... quite chilling in fact! :P But, I also liked the second best, to buckle down and deal with the zombies in hopes to have a 'normal' world once more. And to gather the rest of the living people they find to help in this seemingly impossible quest. It's great! I look forward to the sequel. xD The last one is just terrible..

Vmeanity actually there is a sequel to the normal ending (or a prequel I never played it) called pokemon dawn where you control Ethan's rival

Marro Scifo For me, in the good ending, Ethan didn't dream at all, he just think it because he wake up in the forest he was before the infection. But He did really stop the infection and Celebi move him in a different timeline. But in this timeline, the infection didn't start. Maybe because Ethan stop the infection in a previous timeline. This end don't explain the thing directly, but I prefer this one, zombie in Pokémon is kinda a bad idea, even if this game was fun.

it's not a dream, Celebi was implied to fix everything with its time travel powers. Also apparently brought Ethan back memories intact (even though he didn't really save the world or figure out how to summon the final boss) and not Brando (the pokebro who figured out the obvious clue that his trainer failed to understand, and then beat the final boss alone). Celebi, why?

how do you get the three endings, I got the dream one

+godfatherhat You get the good ending if you have done all 6 side missions, bring back the egg to Martha safely, let Harold run and read Bill's diary. If you want the neutral ending, just finish 5 or 6 side missions without the other requirements (either egg, Harold or diary). And if you want the bad ending, then don't finish more than 4 side missions and you'll get it.
