Pokémon Emerald Hardcore Nuzlocke - Ground Type Pokémon Only! (No items, No overleveling)

Can I beat Pokémon Emerald with only Ground Types using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Ground Type Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause); This includes Pokemon that evolve INTO Ground types, but does NOT include non-Ground Pokémon that evolved from Ground types!
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset (from Pokémon Challenges):
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

I think it would be really cool if you could do a fighting type only on black/white 2. You have so many options. Tepig as starter, there’s riolu not long after at flocessy ranch, scrafty is also an option along with mienshao, sawk, throh. You can also get pokemon like hariyama and and heracross from hidden grottos. Like this so he can see

@@Francis... a "disease" that one of your pokemon can contract after a random wild encounter. It can be spread amongst your entire party. When contracted, the affected pokemon will grow much faster than normal (gain more EXP) and I think it gets more EVs too. The disease will trigger an alternative pokemon center dialog as well.

kaizo emerald is a rom hack that makes emerald way harder; almost every trainer gets 6 pokemon and youll need to grind your pokemon to level 100 by the end if you want to stand a chance

Hey, I doubt you'll see this and I will probably embarrass myself with this but I recently got into your channel and love your content. Your delivery and knowledge on the games is fun and also relaxing. I actually have barely started this video as I type this but I am SO excited. Let me explain. My first generation of Pokemon games was gen 3 my older sister and I played and adored these games. My sister who is going on to her masters still loves pokemon and I can chat and be nerdy with her. I wasa very anxious and awkward kid (and adult now), and pokemon was an escape that allowed me to connect with my sister. Flygon was her favorite pokemon as a kid, still one of her favorites. Back then we weren't really on the internet so we didn't know trapinch evolved into the fantabulous Flygon after MANY levels. I remember her showing that to me and every play thru I got a trapinch just for Flygon. It felt like we found a secret amazing pokemon and I love that nostalgia. Your playing and finding new strats, and love of Flygon reminds me a lot of my sister and happy memories. My OCD has really gotten to me lately and I like spending some time in my evenings watching your videos, relaxing and reminiscing. Thank you for your content, can't wait to see you get Flygon!

after binging most of your catalogue of videos-i finally placed what i was reminded of while watching them. your content feels like a happy medium of PC and and MuhDryBread to me. not sure about your opinion of the latter, but i mean well with this comparison. the play by play narration of fights fits both the intensity of nuzlockes and your writing/humor styles. the nuzlocke challenge you share with jan gives your content a significant leg up over mdb in my opinion (your humor is also lacking a certain adjective that *somebody's* name possesses, which greatly increases watchability). and your styling choices keep your videos unique from both content creators. not sure if you took direct inspo from either of these lads, but i think you've carved out a decent niche that builds well upon a tried and true challenge video-i especially like that you chronicle your wipes while still maintaining decently paced videos. seeing failures adds to the final success, and your editing/scripting skill makes this work wonderfully. good stuff dude, i've subbed and am looking forward to your future releases, as well as the few challenges i have yet to watch :D

This might be weird but one of the things I enjoy most about watching Pokémon LP's (especially Nuzzlocke's) on youtube is that people battle so differently than what I expected. I didn't have any friends who played Pokémon as a kid, and I wasn't very bright I guess, because I didn't figure out a lot of stuff, such as what it was exactly that lowering attack and defense did. This made the games very challenging for me... but also very engaging. Nowadays, I know about stuff like EVs and hidden abilities, but still, I had no idea about things like setup strategies and PP stalling. I really enjoy seeing players come up with different solutions than me to problems we both shared. It's just so... satisfying :D
