today i had a great day at go fest. i got so many new shinies, caught my very first mewtwo along with my friend he caught his first mewtwo luckily he got it shiny. i caught so many snorlax's, two wild spawn gyarados, 3 wild spawn gardevoir, evolved a dragonair, And the people there were so nice. I am looking forward to next year's go fest.

So I tried getting my other two pop star pikas, but for some reason the two photo encounters ended up being gardevoir? I realized I hadn't finished my meloetta research so I quickly did it, but after trying the photo encounter again, I didn't get any photobombs or surprise encounters. I did it all before the event ended, so I'm not sure what I did wrong??

i think it was announced that until before the 2. go fest day starts u would get pop star pikachu and once it starts u would get either gardevoir or flygon whatever u chose.. :/ sorry for your loss.. did u manage to catch atleast several pop star pikachus during the first day ?

Will say now that I just finished that gofest 2021 day 1 rocked for me. I got 16 shinies despite staying home the entire time and just getting incense spawns. On top of that most of the shinies were brand new for me which made it all the more exciting.

I went into this gofest with low expectations but holy heck it was amazing. Jungle Hour though, Ehhh- But bless Cave Hour and Bless the Audino not being locked behind eggs like I originally thought. Ended up with 15 Shinies from incense/home spawns (10 new for me - Gible and Snivy right after com-day were annoying), lots of candies for rare Pokémon to save for Tuesday’s 2x Transfer Candy, & a bunch of new legendary Dex entries since I’d come back from a 2.5 year break.

I got a shiny deino from my first deino raid! same with my shiny mewtwo. I also got a shiny costume zigzagoon from the mission quest lol. in total it was abt 23 shinies with a couple duplicates

Did anyone else feel like the incense spawns despawned ruthlessly fast for an event that was meant to encourage people to walk about and catch wild spawns? Like you literally couldn't catch something and come back to an incense spawn in time? Also my Pokeball Plus just flat out refused to react to anything on the map despite showing as synced in the game. I've never used a third-party device like a Gotcha but my goodness my resolve was tested today!

I also noticed that Pokémon despawned way too fast on the incense and my Pokémon plus wasn’t working very well with this either. I had to stop using it at one point to conserve phone battery anyway, but it wasn’t a huge loss for me.

Caught 22 shinies today, My first shiny Aron before go fest and then I get my second one also today , 4 shiny chimecho.. 1 shiny Deino ,1 shiny Chimchar(Which i was short on from missing most of com day ) 1 shiny slakoth (again needed) 1 scyther ,1 exeggutor, 1 absol , 1 Sableye ,2 Audino ,1 Larvitar (also needed ) 1 magikarp ( I seem to get these every big event) 1 Marill ,1 Skarmory, ,1 Tangela, 1 Beldum, 1 Alomomola and 1 Beldum

There are so many people sending me Ponyta Deino and Zigzagoon raids but I just didnt have the time to do them because I was constantly shiny checking. Still ended up with 62 shinies including 3 Deino but missed out on basically all the new ones. They just wouldnt shine for me and I dont know why.

Last year I couldn't play on day 2 and on day 1 I only got 4 shinies. This year since I could get out and play I wanted to get the most of the event. I ended day 1 with 25 shinies. I got: 1 Zubat, A level 1 Snorlax (41 CP lol) 2 Chinchou 2 Slakoth 2 Carvanha (I got 4 now...) 3 Chimecho 3 Beldum 1 Kricketot A level 1 Gible (WHY?!) 1 Hippopotas 2 Woobat 3 Audino 2 Alomomomomola AND A FREAKING DEINO! I'm tired, but I can't wait for tomorrow.

15 shinies day one. Got a wailer that I been searching for a second one for a while. Then a three shinies in a row. Cannot believe that happen. (Whismur and Alomomla were new ones) then a snorlax. Tangela Skorupi and two shiny pikachu (male and female) tympole and Hoppopotas to finish it up for new ones. Not disappointed in this day but sad at no unown shiny nor Sawk shiny. Time to travel

I played the entire go fest at the in person event in San Francisco and caught 33 shinies on day one! However, I missed out on shiny Deino, unown, snorlax, throh, and a few others. I caught 11 more shinies on day two and still didn’t get them, but this was a fun go fest! I’ll definitely participate in the next event!

Yep was cold in Adelaide too didn't rain till the last half hour of day 1, no rain day 2, got 29 shinies (26 day 1, 3 day 2). Chimecho was my first, and majority were new

Funfact: in the encounter screen, Meloetta is singing the same song which you can hear during her little "event cutscene" in the Gen 5 main series games. And that song is none other than her signature move, Relic Song, which allows her to change form. Nice little detail put by Niantic into this event! :)
