It's a data farming app. Actually developing the "game" is the least important part of its design. This is just a way for them to do less work under the guise of inclusivity, since they won't have to develop 2 separate clothing sets for different body shapes.

3:24 That is what I have been doing for the past few event announcements. I don't get why Niantic hates their long-term player base. I haven't opened the game in 3 days and I have no FOMO anymore. I miss the days when the events were exciting for regular and returning players. Why couldn't it be a toxel hatch day or a pawmi or smoliv hatch day. At least they would have been new shinies and new pokemon (relatively). Why is Niantic determined to K.O. the golden goose of Pokemon Go? Who is so stupid at Niantic to have cleffa hatch day on Sunday and cleffairy spotlight hour on tuesday? They really hate this game.

probably because they don't want to keep the game since they would need to keep paying royalties to Nintendo as long as the game is popular, in the mean time they keep trying new things to make a game to replace Pokémon go and until then they will continue to push out just enough to keep the dwindling players happy. Once they catch their own lightning in the bottle I expect them to ditch the game.

True. I wish they would activate one of those post-raid/global-bonus icons during the mini-events that are only a few hours long e.g. raid-day/raid-hour/CD/spotlight-hour/hatch-day/research-day. Some of these events like research/hatch are completely invisible unless you read the news and remember the timeframes to actively go out and participate. Others like spotlight routinely lead to social media posts "why are there all these X right now?"

Not free. You have use incubators and it's not a first hatch guarantee. Last hatch day I did twenty hatches and got nothing.

Cleffa is another baby shiny I'm still missing, so I am game for this. I like it being three days. However, I think the new customization features for your avatar feels like they need more polish. I feel like the skin color is way too light for my tastes. So many clothes are acting weird now.

In the future Pokemon Go if you see a dark Pokestop which it already occupied or conquered by Go grunts tap on it you will see a Kecleon invisible silhouette tap on invisible silhouette then jump down. Tap X for return to map a Kecleon already on the map. Tap on Kecleon it will show Shadow Kecleon on the catching screen. This is how shadow Kecleon going to debut in Pokemon Go. So players have 2 ( Grunt and Shadow Kecleon) in 1 (Pokestop). Then players can proceed dueling with Go grunts..

What I'd really like to see from you is a video addressing the avatar update. I use "update" in air quotes because it's actually not an update, but a full political agenda from Niantic. I find it very refreshing to be part of a local community located on the largest university campus in my state where players of every political view, gender and identity play together with no issues. We find common ground in the game. I've made real friendships with people far outside my personal political spectrum and would do anything for them. What I find frustrating is that Niantic doesn't seem to realize this fact. Pushing any political agenda polarizes everyone. It's counterproductive to the original goals of the game.

I’m not excited about Cleffa hatch day I wish it was Budew or Happiny cause I need those shiny’s in my pogo account but the bonus is the saving grace for this I mean at least they are giving us hatch distance for free and research for the event. Yes I know we have to buy incubators from Niantic but Niantic has to make money somehow right? If not from us then where is there money going to come from then? I may hatch possibly 5 eggs or less. I like the fact that the timed research is cheap only $1.79 in my country which is Canada but except too much from me or anything else other then the bonus the hatch day sounds like a yawn burger with guac on it. hatch days.... maybe i'm in a complainy mood today but i really don't care about hatch days. i don't go out of my way to hatch eggs as they're not really an effective method to get much of anything. just kinda something i do over the course of the week at work. being that i'm at a warehouse job it's fairly easy to hatch a few eggs over the course of a week, so a hatch day is really just telling me that i shouldn't bother hatching my eggs because the egg pools are gonna be ruined that day and i'll be hatching cleffas for weeks to come. not to mention i won't get that boosted shiny rate, just all the cleffas, so... pretty much just fk it, yano?
