All the issues you've encountered during this project, and especially this video, are the reason I always tried to finish my special research ASAP. The time gated ones, the looooong walking requirements, etc. I'm still picking away at two: the Masterwork one that requires me to catch 10 Kecleon, and the same Welcome Party one you finished, because I usually only play in a party on community days and I'm a wee bit behind. Everything else has been completed long, long ago (or is waiting for the next step, e.g. Timeless Travels.) Honestly, I would have counted it! We're all stuck on it!

In hindsight you could/should have done all the time gated stuff anywhay just to get to the point later on where you can move on. Most is 2 weeks if i'm correct so if you started 2 weeks ago you would have finished it by now.

Nick, you know as well as I do that all these shadow legendaries are gonna come back again and again. It honestly doesn't matter if you complete that research with a legendary you don't want. If you continue to play this game into the future, you'll get multiple chances to catch each. Plus, let's face it, you've said the same thing about all those research quests before: "I'll hold onto it for something special/better." And look what happened as a result. 😅 You don't have to hoard research in the "what if" chance you'll do it later. Just do them, man. You'll feel better. :)
