Man heartgold really gave this a glow up. Between the kimono girls cutscene and the epic battle theme it made this feel significantly more intense

You gota remember this was designed for gameboy color, this game was already packed with content. I don’t even think if they wanted to make this scene more intense that they could cause there was just no more room on the cartridge 😬

This was (and still is) more fun to me because the simple yet elaborate graphics allow for the imagination to take over and make it even more than a video game ever could on its own.

That’s the way it was back then. Legendary battle themes were introduced in Ruby and Sapphire.

I am using this as a walk trough, im playing the Japanese version and i dont understand Japanese. Then i realised i Accidentaly used my MASTER BALL on a DROWZEE. bruh.🎉

Lol REALLLY!? I’ve trying to catch ho-oh for 4 days non stop resetting with 40 ultra balls and still nothing. He had same health and paralyzed same as you 😂😂

No way this wasn't spliced. I remember this encounter to be tedious as hell...I put that little f*** to sleep, paralysed it, decimated its HP, spent hours and hours and dozens if not hundrets of different balls (mostly ultra and great balls, but also a lot of Kurt's special ones. I eventually even began using the ones that wouldn't have had any effect if their description was correct. No need to say that I wasted days on collecting apricorns like crazy and waiting for him to finish the balls) on it and it ALWAYS broke free. In a desperate attempt I even sent level 3 Pokémon in while Ho-Oh was asleep in order to really get it down to 1 HP. Those were some the most exhausting hours of my life and one eternal moment of triumph when I finally caught it.

I remember living on a farm where we raised ho ohs and articundos.... But they were just so aggressive in captivity......though the eggs were valued at about 70000000000$ each .... was hard to find a buyer tho
