I doubt it. Pokemon always chooses the install base for their core titles over new hardware and they considered Legends Arceus to be a core title.

@parkerstoops6058 Legends ZA will come out in January like Legends Arcues did. The new console will come out in March-April. This game is definitely going to be for the old switch on the current LA engine. It'll be backwards compatible and playable on the new switch but it won't be designed for it. People that saw 2025 and thought new switch are being incredibly foolish.

I'm happy. Were finally getting Pokémon Z after so many years. And it may be for Switch 2 since its 2025. Its a good thing they are skipping a whole year and actually listening to fans and taking their time. This has potential to be amazing. Oh, and I'm hyped for new Kalosian forms and new MEGAS!!!! And for clarification, this game is a Legends game, so it is NOT in the future like many people have been speculating, it takes place in the past 3000 years ago during/ after the Great Pokémon war that destroyed Lumiose City, that's why they are Re-developing it again with the redevelopment plan. Plus the name makes sense. Its Z-A becuase of the character AZ from X and Y.

Based on their history I wouldn't expect it for another few years. There's always been 5+ years between remakes and they've never had two come out between generations before. Even before the Switch when they were making them internally they could have been making them much faster but they never did. They're clearly in no rush to get them out. I wouldn't expect it until the year after the next generation at the soonest. It could come out sooner but I'm certainly not getting my hopes up when they have such a well established pattern.

@@a.tucker32 But their patterns are not that consistent. After the first 4 gens, things got wacky. No third version of xy. Sequels to black/white. Updated versions of Sun/Moon a year after launch. Then they started relying on DLC for the "third version." And now the Legends sequel is also functioning as the "Pokemon Z" title... We don't know what to expect because the industry has changed dramatically. What does a remake even look like these days?

When first saw that it was gen 6 related I honestly thought it was going to just be like some sort of port or slight remake of X and y but I'm now thinking it's going to be a more modern version of legends of even a sequel to x and y cos on the file it says " redevelopment plan " if it was in the past Lumiose city probably wouldn't exist, at least not how we think of it and if was about it being founded/created the file would of send " development plans ". So yeah I think Legends Z-A is going to be more of a sequel

It’s cool to see the trading card game back, and wasn’t expecting this new legends game but I liked the first one and it’s cool to see this region get more love. I’m sure they’re gonna add a lot more mega evolutions also them knowing this was peoples favorite. As for no Pokémon game this year, it does suck, but I understand they need some time to get the next one right. I would assume next year is when we hear more about the games that we were expecting Like possibly gen five remakes, a new game in johto, the next mainline Pokémon game, and them porting over the classic gen one and two games to the switch. Overall, this presentation was decent to ok 👌🏽

Probably not happening soon based on how they've always treated remakes. There's always been 5+ years between them and they've never had two come out within the same generation. Contrary to what a lot of people seem to believe they haven't used the phrase 'simultaneously releasing' very often. They always just say releasing worldwide in xxxx year. I know Pokémon used to have staggered releases but why bring that phrase out now if not for it being cross gen?

They probably feel like the Legends series has more potential as an exciting new thing for fans to get excited about. If it was considered successful, they want to capitalize on that momentum.

Arceus in the past , ZA in the future , also fits with the paradox theme from Gen 9. This was one of my theory’s I had , but I thought it was gonna be called legends genesect

It's still in the past. The teaser used a combination of traditional and modern style. Arceus gave you a "smartphone" so they already established the cross-era theme for the series. You'll probably be studying the history of the city to fix the contemporary version.

Im 100% sure Nintendo isnt gonna allow Game Freak to fuck up this time with this new game because Legends will release with Switch 2(maybe launch, maybe later) and having a game that runs at 15fps isnt good marketing for your console. On the first Switch matters less because we already know its underpowered and its in the last years, but a new console... uff that's rough if it even hits a single fps below 30
