Well you have to consider this freezaifaggot considers random battles as competitive just off the fact it has high traffic.. when it's just a bunch of randoms and scrubs not much better than him queuing constantly rolling the dice and hoping the odds are stacked enough against their opponent to make them feel as if they've done something skillful or accomplishment worthy. Way too insecure and full of themselves to teambuild and go thru trial and error gotta just pretend being given under leveled pokemon with weird useless sets is peak competitive play...

So i beat it a different way. I coveted eiscue and got lefties on munchlax, did copycat for leech seed and then belly drum. after a couple of turns i kill eiscue with facade and leech seed chip and move on to chipping aboma. he will eventually defeat himself by struggling. munchlax can survive 1 struggle at a green hp.

My biggest issue with this escape room is that the Heart Scale obtaining is random, and that Pickup (the ability that gets you the heart scale) doesn't grab Heart scales until Level 51 in any game. It's not a fair thing to have to figure out, since it's not something the game can do without explicitly changing an internal mechanic, which I feel goes against the spirit of escape rooms.

From my playthrough it seems that pickup is guaranteed to give a heart scale every time you win a battle. So that part isn't so unreasonable.

Pokemon Escape Rooms are really fun, some incredibly captivating puzzles can be made with them. Only thing I didnt enjoy this vid is that it for some reasons sounds like you had two different Pokemon Music Playlists playing at once in the background, so there would always be two songs awkwardly overlapping one another

The fossil switch "puzzle" is completely absurd. That one is not even a pokemon puzzle anymore, it's just bad game design that the dev thinks is a "puzzle" just because it's some absurd enigma that makes no sense to figure out (and why playing romhacks always ends up being a bad idea). At no point you can figure out that the fossils are anything more than spawn triggers for the focus sash puzzle (nor that the guy talking about his favorite type has any relevancy whatsoever), and after getting strength all you're thinking is about the bastiodon on the wall and trying to click on something to push inside the hole. Not even worth completing the final battle.

Spoilers for first puzzle. I went to play this myself and got stuck immediately, since as soon as I fought one lvl100 fossil I figured they'd all be level 100. I'm not really a fan of there being 8 or so red herrings that just knock you out and waste you time, and the only way to check them is to go through that process. I feel like having the fightable mon signposted in some other way would have been good.

Like after checking the PC I would’ve been like alright there’s nothing here and then wouldn’t have bothered to check my mail. That would’ve cost me some valuable info. So I think it’s good that this game does enforce the idea of “nah you really should check EVERYTHING”

Normalise turns every move a pokemon uses into normal type, as well as boosting its power. Since Yamask is a ghost type, it's immune to normal, so using skill swap to give the opposing mon normalise makes it incapable of hurting Yamask. By using role play, Yamask is able to switch its own ability to normalise, letting it skill swap it onto any other mons that come out.

I’m pretty mad he kept flinging flame orb onto skitty. The burn is only detrimental. Facade doubles power when burned but without guts, your attack is halved. Same damage output, but wastes a turn with munchlax and does needless DOT to skitty

Burn doesn't halve your attack stat. What burn does is halve the power of physical moves. Since Facade is not halved by burn, flinging the Flame Orb is beneficial because Facade is doubled while Skitty's attack stat is unchanged. Burn only halved Attack stats in generations 1 and 2.
