Pokémon Radical Red is becoming a GAUNTLET

Run 16....happens I guess, before run 17 showcases much of what I've learned over the course of the challenge. This is where progress starts to really pick up in the challenge, but can I get past my rival this time? Enjoy this one, plenty more on the way!

bro i was SHITTING myself when i realized that honchkrow had sucker punch man. our plan was air tight until i saw that. great video but man these battles were SO much more stressful than you can see here

The amount of brainstorming and problem solving that gets cut in these is astounding, if it weren’t for trying to keep these videos compact there’d be so much more of the thought processes included from these fights

Amazingly played, makes me curious to check out what you discussed with chat and planning the strategies/teams. Nothing is more satisfying when all the prep were worth it! Shows how EVs are indeed a good investment lol

I believe the plan for this one centered around using Jolteon to outspeed Staraptor right away, forcing electrified to switch in and take guaranteed damage (this is a strat I later optimized even further) or just let staraptor immediately faint. From there we brought inteleon to outspeed darmanitan if necessary, bolting as fast/strong electric back up for blastoise, golisopod as a revenge killer, and golurk as a big damage threat to electivire, darmanitan, and even jumpluff. Gyarados was mostly here due to its ability to intimidate the whole team beneficially and having ice stab available for jumpluff if needed. One of those fights where EV investments were on full display! Edit: i believe the fight with this rival was VOD 22 of the dootslocke so if you’re over on the twitch side and want to see the thought process it should be there!

Yeah man unfortunately I actually suck
