I Beat Pokémon Fire Red Using Only Bug Types - A Pokémon Challenge!

Hello good people of this channel, it's great seeing you back for my latest creation. I hope you enjoy this bug-tacular... I should stop now while I'm ahead.
Here's the rules:
1. I can only capture the first Pokémon I find on each available route.
2. If a Pokémon faints, it's considered dead and can't be used anymore.
3. No items in battle.
4. No over-leveling past the gym leader's ace Pokémon's level.
5. Gift Pokémon and shinnies are free encounters; however, as a gentlemen's rule, I don't hunt for shiny Pokémon during my runs unless it's part of a challenge.
6. No legendary or mythical Pokémon can be used in battle unless otherwise specified.
7. I play on set mode only.

Theres a FireRed ROM hack called Backwards Edition (Der Erif) where you go through Kanto backwards, and bug types are made stronger (along with many other changes)

Disappointed you didn't teach Dream Eater to any of them. I'm playing fire red for the first time right now (currently heading towards Cinnabar Island) and I have a butterfree with Sleep Powder and Dream Eater that can just pulverise everything in its path

Sadly, fire red doesn't like you using non-kanto pokemon- or pinsir?- so the Sevii island encounters aren't present until I reach the fourth, post game island, which isn't helping me with Blue. But man I wish!

@@Dork_000 It means you only played half of the game. Fire red is complete when you complete sevii islands, catch (or kill) MewTwo, and rematch the champion. You could also do trainer hill, but it's kinda lame. But everything else in the sevii islands is some of the most fun you can have in a pokemon campaign.
