Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon on each Route (Species Clause)
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

(Combusken only knows Sand Attack in the fourth and fifth battles.) So either Bulbapedia's wrong about Gen 3 Hustle, or Bulbapedia is wrong about the rival's moveset, or the ROMhack changed something, or a glitch occurred.

Suggestion: hardcore nuzlocke no dual types no type repeat (so if you choose snivy ,lilligant,cottonee and such cannot be caught even if they’re encounter number 1) It might be an easier one because of type variety but once that mon is gone so is its type

The reason why drake switched into flygon after the rock tomb is because of the switch AI. In emerald, if you just hit an ai with a non-resisted move and the ai outspeeds, the ai has a 50% chance of switching to a pokemon who resists or is immune to the move.

Hey, Flygon, I had an idea for a monotype challenge: An all-grass type team for a run-through of Johto. Because grass-types leave you at an automatic disadvantage against nearly everything simply because of type matchups, I feel like seeing how you work around the game, beating you down at every turn, would make good content. Falkner, Bugsy, and Pryce all have type advantages over you, Jasmine’s and Clair’s specialties resist Grass, and Morty only uses the Ghastly line, so you’re going to be fighting a bunch of Poison types. There’s also the Indigo Plateau, which houses Will’s Jynx and Xatus, Koga, Karen’s Vielplume and Houndoom, and Lance’s Flying-type team. That’s ignoring the scores of Poison-types you’re bound to fight with Team Rocket and all the Rival Fights as well.
