What I enjoy is that the type of Pokeballs they use actually represents each of the boss' character -Mela has a no-nonsense approach (Quick) -Giacomo is the brains of Team Star and needs time to think out things (Timer) -Atticus speaks in an old-fashioned manner and dresses as a ninja, which is also considered old-fashioned (Repeat) -Ortega is from a rich family but also wants friends (Luxury) -Eri is shown to be a kind and sweet girl outside of her duties as one of the Team Star bosses. (Heal)

Another way of looking at it, Mela's impatient and hot-tempered, it makes sense that the way she tries to catch pokemon would be to just yeet the quick ball, and dip if it doesn't go well. The opposite is true for Giacomo, who appears to be much more patient. Dark types are also supposed to overwhelm the opposite side with debuffs and status conditions, drawing out the battle, making his choice of Timer Balls make even more sense. Also, Atticus is supposed to be a ninja, and the repeat ball brings the good ol' shadow clone jutsu to mind. Ortega and Eri are pretty self-explanatory though.

Mela uses Quick balls because she's short tempered, Giacomo uses Timer balls because he takes more time catching pokemon because he's not used to it, Atticus uses Repeat balls to catch the same species of pokemon probably because of their ninja esthetic and Ortiga uses Luxury balls because he's rich. (I'll edit later for Eri because I haven't fought her yet)

I headcanon that Larry and Giacomo are at least related to one another and you can't convince me otherwise. Their designs are too similar to where it drives me mad.

Makes sense, but going even deeper, Larry having to work three jobs makes sense only if he has a child in school, and especially if said child has a rather expensive hobby that they're trying to turn into a career. Note that Giacomo is the only boss whose outfit you can tell used to be the school uniform, but with a little more added on; all the others are far too different to be former uniforms. I mean it's possible he just has sensory issues and won't wear any clothes that aren't comfortable to him, but part of it could be that out of all of them he feels the most guilty about leaving school not just because of how hard his dad is having to work to pay his tuition, but he also really enjoyed school aside from the bullies. In all likelihood Giacomo tried to tell Larry about the bullying, but Larry was usually too busy for him to reach. Larry feels immense guilt that his work takes him away from being there for his son like that, and also once he finds out about the bullying he had to endure, he's mad as hell. In fact the only reason he doesn't go after the bullies despite them having left the school already is because of Giacomo calming him down and telling him that it's long in the past, and he's doing much better now.

The revavroom was part of the starmobile, but now they’re all broken down and not used. Each starmobile had the corresponding type of each boss’s pokemon, so for example Mela’s starmobile is fire type, Eri’s is fighting type, etc. normally revavroom is poison steel type

Baxcalibur is an intentional reference to Godzilla. It's signature move Glaive Rush, is an inverted version of how Godzilla "flies" in one of the movies by propelling himself with his fire breath and flying backwards. For Glaive Rush, he does it upside down so he propels himself forward.

DUDE SAME! When I fought mela (second boss) and beat her, the game crash, and since I turned off autosave during that time, I lost so much data. Thankfully it was all recovered with the backup autosave when you press Y,B, and tilt L stick up at the same time in the title screen
