Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death (or permaboxed)
2. Can only catch first Pokémon encountered in each area
(Species Clause: Already caught Pokémon do not count as an eligible encounter)
3. Nickname all Pokémon
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No levelling past the next gym leader's ace
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

Chill commentary that's nice to listen to, no dumb or obnoxious skits/jokes. Good video. Really sucks that Raticate died because you can teach it shadow ball which compliments it's speed and physical attack. Would have been good against Karens' Gengar.

Nice Gbc challenge as well, but i have a Hardcore challenge for you, Pokémon Fire Red but every Gym, I Deposit a Pokémon, which this Pokémon can be anyone of the party, but when deposited it cannot be in your party, and also, you can't repeat the same pokémon you depoist, which means, of you deposit a Metapod, then you can't deposit another Metapod

I'm doing this run using Chikorita as my starter. Lucked out a few misses from pidgeotto thanks to my pidgey tanking gusts and sand attacking. This is gonna be so tough and I did not make it easier by choosing chikorita, but it's my favorite of the three.

How come you hit level 47 for elite 4? I thought nuzlocke would rule you to not use levels higher than each individual elite 4 member. Other than that great video!

Hi there, I noticed you used shadow ball with espeon and it made me wonder... are you aware of the type split pre gen 4? Wether your att or sp att was used was determined by type, so the shadow ball was a physical move. And it wasnt influenced by amnesia. But espeon is a special attacker and cannot really hit hard with physical moves, so yeah. The more you know. After Gen 4 shadow ball on espeon is great

Yeah I kinda didn’t mention it in the videos, so dumb how they split the types into physical and special moves. Makes Pokémon like Gengar pointless in the first few gens. Shadow ball was really more for type coverage than anything. Slowbro was using Amnesia and Curse so he buffed both defenses anyway. You’ll probably see me do similarly illogical things in the next vids 😅

Night Shade has NOTHING to do with the Target's Level. It's the USERS Level it takes it's dmg from.

Never understood why out of the 23 pokemon that the gym leaders collectively have, only 4 are Johto pokemon. Personally, I would reshape their teams as such: Falkner - Pidgey & Hoot-Hoot Bugsy- Spinarak, Ledyba, & Yanma Whitney - Jigglypuff, Clefairy, & Miltank Morty - Haunter, Ninetales, Espeon, & Misdreavus Chuck - Hitmontop, Heracross, Primape, & Poliwrath Jasmine - Magneton, Skarmory, Scizor & Steelix Pryce - Sneasel, Delibird, Stantler, & Piloswine Clair - Dragonair, Gyrados, Charizard & Kingdra
