It's nice that SV has a shortened version of the name of the set at the bottom instead of just a letter. It makes it easier to identify which set a card is from.

Fantastic video yet again! Idea for another video: all the types of holofoil (and reverse) used in the TCG (e.g., the multiple variations and orientations of cosmos, sheen, sequin, wavy, line (vertical SWSH vs horizontal BW), and all the reverses, including each EX era set)

Could you do a video on like “collecting on a budget” or a “start here” mini-guide for those new to the TCG who don’t know what products to get? i’m getting into the TCG but there’s so many sets and i don’t wanna spend like $60 on a elite trainer box for example.

@@sleevenocardbehind talking about collecting on a budget - a few "collecting goals" ideas in a video would be super helpful. You know, all cards of a specific Pokemon. a collection of all the starter Pokemons but with cool artworks, etc. I often feel like the only real collection goal is finishing expensive master sets.
@oCaRRiEDx29 күн бұрын
Thats my issue, I haven't bought Pokémon cards since Gen 2. I have no idea what I'm looking at and don't know what I should be buying or what a fair price is. We have a local card shop I went in and bought 4 packs of S&V for $20, But they had other packs at $6 or $7 each, is that MSRP for those or mark ups? I would like to support local, but I also don't want to overpay for packs.

I’d love to see you breakdown the various “special mechanic” Pokemon over the lifespan of the TCG - Shining, Crystal, Legends, Break, V-Union, Amazing, etc. - and why some seem to be collectible and some really don’t. It doesn’t seem to correlate with what was competitively viable, and all have been fairly short-lived. Does collectibility correlate purely to rarity for these cards? Do you think unique-but-failed mechanics like V-Union will ever be attractive to collectors?
@Kali-8Ай бұрын
I recently got a Morpeko V-Union set, It looks cool in a binder next to my promo cards and I get 7 Crown Zenith packs out of it

It is also interesting to see the différences in the products, not only expansions, with ETB being mainly for the western audience while in Japan they have other formats. The amount of boosters and even cards change based on the language in a display, as well as the guaranteed hit (or not), the presence of god packs and masterballs that did not exist in EN/... before 151 and sv8a respectively, ...
