If I were to do this challenge, The starter catch will not count no matter what you say (And I would have to do research to find the gift pokemon locations) however I always use one pokemon regardless of how many times I play the games! Ultra Moon is a really great game for this challenge. You get some pretty decent variety via the totem stickers and random gift pokemon like Eevee and Poipole, at the same time the bosses are no joke especially the totems and Ultra Necrozma.

Same. But this game is awful for this challengue, because it is not even a challengue. They give you by trades and gift all the pokemon you need to beat the main battles, and being traded they grow much faster. Didn't even had to grind that much and they always ended up overlevel. I love mickey content but seeing him struggle in this challengue gives me serious pain
