Can I beat Pokémon White 2 using Hardcore Nuzlocke Rules if my encounters are determined by Pokémon Go?
Normal Nuzlocke Ruleset:
1. Fainting = Death
2. Can only catch the first Pokémon in Pokémon Go from each new city (Species clause applies).
3. Nickname Pokémon
Hardcore Nuzlocke Ruleset:
4. No items in battle (held items okay)
5. No leveling past the next gym leader/E4 (at the START of the battle)
6. Play on "Set" battle mode

12:16 It's actually not about the IVs or natures of Clay's pokemon here, there's a thing called the "challenge mode glitch" where the pokemon in challenge mode have the stats of as if they were the same levels as normal mode. In normal mode Clay's pokemon are all 3 levels lower, so that Sandslash had speed as if it was level 31, and Excadrill as if it was 33. However it should also be noted that level does play a part in damage calculation, so even though Sandslash has the same stats in both modes, it will still do more damage in challenge mode.

Something that puts FlygonHG above most content creators for me is his constant growth. Not just with how production quality has risen since his first videos, and with how much better he's gotten at the game itself, but character growth. He seems much more confident now. He's much less self-depreciating, is kinder to himself with misplays, and just seems to have more fun in general.

Saw "Hardcore Nuzlocke" and saw Rampardos in the thumbnail and immediately gave it a like. I'm currently using a Rampardos in my Platinum HC nuzlocke and with a Bold nature and max def/speed investment he turned out to be a MONSTER. Also the whole idea for this run sounds real fun. It reminds me of that one guy who did a Platinum run based on how much he ran each day.

im a little late to this one but extremely good video. youre by far my favorite nuzlocker. i think the pokemon GO integration was really unique. with nuzlockes, one of the driving factors behind it is "you name your pokemon and if they die they die" so it's almost more personal, like you have a bond with them so you play super careful. i think pokemon GO compounds this feeling seeing as how you had to actually go out in the real world and catch these mons. especially on a nice vacation. there may (or may not) be more sentimental value with these pokemon which makes it that much more special. keep up the great work, would love to see more like this
