I think that's it- Pokemon, as a series, is huge and widely popular. There are going to be plenty of people hating on Fraser because he didn't like something. There isn't as much as an outrage- just a lot more people getting pissed. I still don't like this episode and will avoid watching it, but I'm not going to hate Fraser just because he doesn't care about a game as much as I do.

In the anime, yes. But the games and the anime are barely connected anymore. The only thing connecting them is the generation they're both currently in. Outside of that, they aren't the same. The games got rid of the "must be 10 yrs old" rule and main protagonists were aged to their mid-teens. It's been like that since Gen 5 (Black & White). You're too out of the loop to know anything about Pokemon now. Did you even know that X & Y introduced a new type, Fairy type, to counter Dragon type?

Honestly those two things were why I thought the game wouldn't work for the show Pokemon has become more and more "kid friendly" over the years with it's censorship and it's gameplay is based on tedious grinding to level up your pokemon, which if any fan of the series denies they are seriously lying to themselves

Some kids look older than they are. I was channel surfing the other day and caught a bit of Family Jewels with Gene Simmons. In the episode his wife and daughter went to a fashion show and his 13 year old daughter was constantly mistaken for being much older (and not just from pervs). I believe a girl that was doing her makeup at the show said she looked like she was 21. The player characters in pokemon x & y look to be in the 12-14 range.

People arent upset because fraser thought it was boring or made fun of the various silly things in the game. they probably thought fraser had previous experience with the series. Besides Fraser himself aknoledged that he was trolling way more than usual because he was bored.

With Anime and Anime style things it's a good idea to not judge characters ages by appearance. Generally you can work out an approximate age by taking how old you think the character looks and if it's a guy adding on 2 years and if it's a girl taking away 5. What is the phrase... "Oh Japan"

I think the best AVG episodes are the ones were Fraser haves fun, Be it making fun of a game or loving it. A happy Farsh makes for good times. When Fraser gets bored or frustrated my enjoyment plummets. :(
