Seriously GameFreak trolling at it's finest. It's bad enough you only get 1 of these stubborn birds and getting the 10 event's for it to popup. You also only get Zygarde, Xerneas Yveltal and Mewtwo with 2 Megastones for it as native legendaries. Anything else is import/trade only. and with the Mystery Code Servers offline for this game, finding anyone to trade with is tough.

What happens is you can only get 1 legendary bird depending on what starter you chose. Fennekin = Zapdos Chespin = Articuno Froakie = Moltres

It would seem that the number of times needed to enter the space is a pattern: 16, 5, 99, 11, 21, 16, 5, 99, 11. This is what I saw, someone else should try and see if they get the same pattern.

I am starting a new way of play...for the Pokemon Video game series. It is called "Type Running". Think of it as the character themselves being a Gym Leader of just a One type trainer. The basic main rules are 1. You must only catch and use Pokemon of one type BUT you can use Pokemon that evolves into the Type that you are "Running". 2. You can use "HM Friends" or HM slaves of a different type but If all of your other Pokemon of the same type dies and you only have the different type HM friend then you lose the challenge. 3. If your Pokemon lose it type of the type your "Running" then you have to deposit that Pokemon. Have fun with the "Type Running" challenge!

+Erin Bashford-Hobbs You can't. Not without buying another copy of the game or restarting the current save. It is dependent on what Pokemon you start with and then if you want the other two you need to trade.

Articuno isn't registering in the dex, I've encountered it twice

This comment was 4 yrs ago...... You have to check the national pokedex in pokedex option and go up all the way to no. 141 and around that no. You will see articuno

Mine won't stop running around the map when I fly to the route its in am I doing it wrong

You don't fly to the route. Go to one location and keep doing the instructions, then look at the map the only time you fly to the route is when it's at the Sea Spirit's Den. And then when it's there, you fly to the closest town and surf to get there. If it does not appear there, go to any patch of grass (I recommend where he shows you to do it at). Then keep doing what he says. You'll get it eventually. so yeah don't fly to its route.

i know its been seven years but you would have to replay the game and pick a different starter corresponding to the bird you want Froakie: Moltres Fennekin: Arcticuno Chespin: Zapdos if you want all of them you would have to put the birds in pokemon bank before replaying your game

I think there is a slight flaw in your theory, I have done your method and found articuno 9 times and he wasnt at Azure Bay, I then went in again to find him for a 10th time just to be sure I didnt misscount, and he is still roaming elsewhere!
