@@halilacikgoz7865 There are no Kanto Pokémon in Colosseum, but there are Kanto Pokémon in XD. Neither game has the Charizard or Blastoise line. They may appear if you use a randomizer, though.

What amazes me is that shiny pokemon in this game actually have totally different portraits when viewed in the party. Not just the color, but also the pose, and they even have their own shiny sprites in the PC.

Back when Pokémon games had charm and weren't just soulless crash grabs that skip over cool details like this. We are at a point now where towns/cities are entirely outside because the developers can't even be bothered to include indoor sections 🙄

Just to save myself a bit of the trouble and clear it up for the future: Yes, all of these are in fact shiny, you can see it denoted by the yellow name on the summary page. Yes, to many of these the developers just slapped a color filter on top of them and called it a day (like Psyduck), and many others are flat out wrong in comparison to how they actually look in the mainline games (like Ninetales). And one more thing, Totodile and Croconaw ARE in the video but there's a strange glitch with the mobile app that freezes it in that specific timeframe. Don't ask, I don't know why either. KZbin being stupid I guess.

Honestly i kind of like the fact that some of them are different than the main games. It implies that it might be true that the term "shiny" only refers to one of MANY different combinations possible for a shiny Also thanks for making this video. it could be good for an art reference for me n such.

Some of those really stand out, like Voltorb, Umbreon (the eyes specifically), Suicune, Heracross... I also find it weird that so many Hoenn Pokémon shiny models differ from their handheld counterparts. I mean, I get why the first two generations have inconsistent coloring, because they reused models from the Pokémon Stadium games, before some of the shinies changed color in Gen III, but they had to create 3D models for the Hoenn Pokémon, and somehow there are a lot of coloring differences between the console models and handheld sprites. Just look at Camerupt and the Metagross family. Still, really cool video, I've been curious about this for some time.

I'm just going to list all the shinies that look significantly different for those interested: Venusaur (body is yellow) Ninetales (Orange tail tips instead of blue) Diglett (body is green) Dugtrio (body is green) Tentacool (body is light blue with dark blue jelly head things [???]) Tentacruel (body is light blue with dark blue jelly head things) Ponyta (Grey flames) Cubone (pink body) Marowak (pink body) Eevee (yellow body) Moltres (bright orange) Dragonite (yellow/very light lime green body) Mewtwo (golden belly and tail) Cyndaquil (bright blue back spots) Quilava (This one is the most famous for having green fire, but the spots on it's back are also bright blue)

Deoxys Attack, Defense and Speed have their own models in this game. They can only be seen by connecting FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald to battle mode and turning on “reveal Deoxys form” in the rulesets (iirc this is enabled by default to begin with), then having FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald send out a Deoxys in battle. By doing the 4 player multi battle option, you can connect all three of FRLG and Emerald at once to kill three birds with one stone. Would this be something you would like to showcase?

Funny you mention it, I've been tinkering with a Crystal save and controller plugins for the transfer pak on PJ64. N64 emulation is still a disaster though, and Stadium 2 is one of those games that has a lot of visual glitches regardless of plugins. All Pokémon are in fact viewable from Oak's Lab, but only a little preview, which is also a little glitchy but it's clear enough. Maybe I'll do all 251 going out into battle if I'm not lazy, as that's visually glitch-free for the most part. It would take a lot more time to record the clips for each one and a lot more setup (around 41 battles to include all 251, in which each of the six have to be chosen manually), then make sure the clips were well recorded, then stitch them together. Don't hold your breath I guess, but technically speaking I think I could make it happen. Still, I wouldn't be surprised if someone else beats me to it.

I dunno man, I'm lazy and I don't know if I can be bothered to transfer all these to a Colosseum save as well just for the box sprites. As for the second, I have no idea what you're talking about. Gen2 to Gen3 transfers aren't even technically possible, not in a legitimate manner at least.

I've always pictured my dream shiny Regice to be turquoise-green, it's literally an alt shiny that I once made when I was doing shiny fanart. The fact that it's real in this game makes me so happy but also darn sad that it's only in this game. Like c'mon. That needs to be its permanent shiny, especially considering how indistinguishable they've made its actual shiny in the recent gens. It still looked good in the earlier gens even if it was a little boring, but right now it's one of the worst.

I remember I used shiny Poochyena in Colosseum and I thought that 'mon looks good in 3D except eyes and nose, they are blue in main games... then used shiny Dugtrio. My reaction was like: what why it does look different In case you're wondering why: in main games, shiny Diglett and Dugtrio have blue noses while Colo/XD, they have green bodies and brown noses. I wonder why developer decided to give them different colours. Do they think blue-nosed moles are boring?
