Pokemon is too easy. I made it harder.

I created and played a mod for Pokemon Emerald that switches my team with my opponent. 50% of the time, teams are swapped, which makes boss fights simple and easy fights impossibly hard.
Thanks to some self-imposed rules, this was the hardest Pokemon Challenge I've ever done. It got better and better as I played more, so make sure to watch until the end of the video!
Have watched a lot of DougDoug lately so I decided to add some Funny to this one. Let's hope it worked

@@randomusername1735 The whole gym challenge is specifically set up _to be reasonably beatable by a sufficiently dedicated trainer._ Otherwise there wouldn't even be a point to the Pokemon League. Basically, they're fighting with "kid's gloves" on in those battles. The rematches at the lounge in Platinum and the Fighting Dojo in HGSS, the PWT battles in B2W2 and occasional appearances at the Battle Tree in all Gen 7 games are examples of what they can do when they're fighting all-out, and all of that is postgame content.

I think an interesting variation of this might be "You can never catch pokemon. After every trainer battle, you take the opponent's team (and your old team is lost forever)". This is definitely much easier, as you can train the opponent's team before the next battle, but it would introduce some interesting strategy where you could leave strong trainers until you need a good team. Probably possible to softlock due to HMs, but I bet there's a way to route around it or use death warps or something.

An alternative version would be to play the game normally and then replace every opponent team with the team you had when you defeated them in your normal game (you're allowed to do any team switch you want, but you have to beat them so you need to be strong enough for that) then you do a full run where you get their team against your winner team everytime. I'm not sure if there is a way to easily or automatically do that. It'd probably be easier than this challenge but also a bit more fair, as you need to win from both sides. With probably a side goal being to lose as little as possible (rather than rely on retrying fights a lot, as the point is to outplay the opponent from both sides). Also ideally you'd face the version of your team after you won the battle not before, so that xp and lvl up aren't in your favor. Not sure if that's doable but it sounds cool.
