The fact that manga James got down on one knee and popped the ring to manga Jessie and asked her to be his wife, and along the way started a family with Jessie, makes you feel proud for him. I also like anime James because he's a bro/homie to the main cast over the series from time to time and still being a fun antagonist to love and root for along with anime Jessie, although they did change up the formula in the Black&White part of the anime, where they had to do recon on Team Plasma and find Meloetta and the Mirror that changes the form of Tornadus, Thunderous, and Landorus to their previous forms with Giovanni was kinda spooky.

Well, meowth was a wild Pokémon in a city, doing wild Pokémon things when he fell in love with a female meowth. The female meowth turns him down saying he isn’t “human enough”. Meowth then observed humans and taught himself how to walk and talk like humans. Having perfected his human speech and 2 legged walking, he finds the female meowth again, only to get turned down again. The female meowth explains that being “more human” meant getting caught by a trainer, not learning how to talk and walk like a human. Meowth, thoroughly heartbroken, leaves the city and gets recruited by Jessie and james

Jessie and James were my fave part of Pokémon and I relayed to them so much. They were my idea of a perfect relationship(friendship/siblings) I never saw them as romantic counter parts and my bi panic was set in. Another really important note about Jessie and James is the adaptation of showing that no matter who or what you are you can wear and act how ever you want(prime example James when he wears the dresses skirts and fake boobs, with Jessie it’s her dressing much more masc often cross dressing men) Summary: One of the best pair of characters ever written in a show

I love their ending in the electric tale of Pikachu and would love them to have that endgame to. Btw one media you left out (but it is Japan only) is Team Rockets secret empire. It's a radio show where Jessie and James do skits and answer questions.

James is rich, but had an AWFUL family life, Jessie had a good family life with her foster mother [Musashi left on an expedition to find Mew, is presumed dead since she never came back, but even before that, she left Jessie in an orphanage because she wanted to follow her career/loyalty to Madame Boss, who basically had Team Rocket be more of a petty criminal organisation than the behemoth it is under Giovanni, who is her son, and very much regretted that during her time in Guyana tracking Mew/before dying, she thought of Jessie and the mistakes she'd made as a parent, this is gone over in detail in the TR radio drama about Mewtwo], but lived in poverty/ate snow. I don't know how you'd gloss over that, when it was a pretty big plot point and also their main motivation for joining Team Rocket (James to escape his controlling parents and Jessie to escape poverty.)
