i find it incredible that speed runners use rng manipulation all the time and nobody bats an eye, but if anyone else uses rng manipulation we get called cheaters lol, anyway great video!

@@PulseEffects Tbf, it kinda feels like cheating. That being said, I think people confuses RNG manipulation with the actual "cheating" of ACE who you know is literally hacking the game in certain way.

Maybe it's because I'm big into ACE and RNG manips, but my definition of "legit" is really clouded when it comes to Pokémon. If you aren't using external hardware (aside from Eon Timer, Seed Finder, etc. when applicable) and you aren't hacking with ACE or Action Replay, you're not creating any kind of impossibilities. The frames are already there, you're just bridging the gap between the guy who hit the right ones and the ones who didn't. I wish other games allowed it too, even if it were its own category.

I am an unabashed Gen 2 fan and enjoy replaying them but I could never speedrun them due to the amount of RNG manips needed for the main category.

Never understood this attachment to one Pokemon line, lol. There are so many electric types in the game (my personal go to being Lanturn, water/electric and is my favourite mon), it's such a non-issue. And also, you can straight up buy Thunder Punch and give it to Kadabra/Alakazam for some seriously OP thunder sweeping, even without STAB.

Always wondered why the Gameboy Pokemon games felt much smoother for me than the DS games. The former running on 60 fps and the latter only on 30 explains it. While i like HGSS i couldnt enjoy it as much because they felt really sluggish with all that micro delay.

interesting that RGBY GSC and RSEFRLG even run at 60 in the first place, given they're not really very animated most of the time. you feel it on the overworld scrolling, maybe, but in battles they probably could save battery with a frame cap

actually the DS games do run at 60, but the inputs are only polled every other frame, essentially making the RNG manipulations a 30fps trick

@@hippochans I'd actually love to see where you found this information. Cause I know that the DS tries to run all its games at 60 FPS, but Pokemon needs to put their overworld FPS at 30 due to the effects they use in the game.

They are NOT DOGS! 7:43 . Does NO ONE ever read or see how they act?! Even the shiny gives away what rhey are! Even another channel dug deep into this misinformation and they are actually Cats! Entai is a lion, suicune is a jaguar and raikou is a tiger. What Dogs have retractable claws hmm? None.and what dog has stripes like a tiger? None.what dog roars? None. Raikou's shiny color IS EVEN a dead giveaway what animal its a resemblance to. It literally turns orange with a white underside like tigers. Why cant people and yourubers get it through their thick skulls that "hey we should stop spreading this false information of what they are when all they shown are large feline behavoir from roaring, retracting and using claws when attacking, shiny color for one of them is straight up a tiger, and its already been factually proven they are cats and not dogs.
