Getting the Dragon Fang is ridiculously difficult. Dragonair is a 1% chance of appearing, then you have to actually catch it in the Safari Zone which is a very low chance. Then it has to be holding the item which I'm sure is only a 5% chance. No way.

P.S.: You can get a twisted spoon from wild Abras too (i've got now). Go to the north of Cerulean and use Thief on many Abras as you see till you get twisted spoon (5% chance)

I went on the hunt for the dragon fang which was the last type boosting item i needed to complete my collection. It took catching 56 dragonairs before i finally got it. Along the way here are some interesting things that happened. I encountered 2 dragonairs in a row. The number 30 dragonair i caught was also lvl 30 matching it's position. And the 31 dragonair was also lvl 31. What are the odds of that happening? 😂Apparently higher then getting a dragon fang

As you can see at 14:20 he use a butterfree with a compoundeyes ability (a ability that increase a pokemon's accuracy by 30%, and also increase a chance that a wild pokemon hold a item like sharp beak)

I remember recording this video like yesterday . At that time I didn't even know what RNG manipulation means (or so call frame manipulation). I was blindly trying to get this item and at the same time recording it. This actually one of the successful one beside 100-150 failed attempts. There are some other items such as lucky egg, I tried more than 500 times to be able to obtain one and record at the same time. Most probably If I do similar video again, I will definitely do it with RNG manipulation.

I feel like half these items aren't even worth the effort. You either wait until postgame to get them and even in those cases, its a 5% chance of the pokemon having said item on them. The only one that is consistent are the Fire/Water/Grass boost items and the Blackglasses.

To be honest, for every try I record one video. If I fail to find an item or if it takes more times to find than I expect, I start beginning and recording again. Because of that, making the best record for one item takes my 3-5 hours. For instance there is no edit for finding dragon fang. The only edit is in making whole video with 17 separated item videos. Some items are really hard to find and I agree with you man.
