Maybe you assume everyone knows, but in case anyone doesn't you can just use repels and a lvl 15 pokemon (preferably with Run Away) to encounter Heracross only in Pattern Bush. Just found out about this myself.

I wouldn't recommend the unown hunt. The way that shinynesd is decides is the same was as how the letter is decided, meaning some shiny unown are more common than others. The lowest it goes is one in 5000~. The highest(If I recalled correctly) is close to 1 in 20k

don’t dunsparce from old gen games have a stupidly higher chance to be 3 segment? if so then i’m definitely doing that hunt

This is the thing about this hunt, Dunsparce with a Hardy Nature and the Serene Grace ability will 100% become the 3 segment Dudunsparce in Gen IX. However (unless there is a way to reduce shiny odds in Leaf Green/Fire Red) you will be at the mercy of full shiny odds. And sadly those are the only games in Gen III where you can encounter Dunsparce in the wild. Alternatively, you could send a Hardy natured Dunsparce to Pokémon Emerald and use the Everstone breeding method to pass down the nature, but you won't be able to pass down the ability and you'll still be at the mercy of full shiny odds. I do hope there is a way to reduce these shiny odds in those games, because as to my knowledge rn, you have better odds at finding a Shiny Dunsparce that meets the 3-Segment requirements in Gen IV than in Gen III

Three Island, the cave at the start opens up after obtaining the National Dex to show that patch of grass.

how can we get the island of ho-oh and lugia in fire red? i remember playing both fire red and leaf green like 14 years ago when i was a kid and i never knew about that and some years later i got my games stolen, and i bought a fire red version again some years ago and recently im shiny hunting on it and ho-oh is one of my favorite pokemon and i never shiny hunted for it on my heart gold game and i dont want to reset that file.

You can't evolve Eevee to Umbreon or Espeon in post-game, you have to trade them from Colosseum/XD
