We really like this set and while the size may seem a little overwhelming at first, it’s not really that bad because of how many less Full sets and Secret Rares there are compared to Evolving Skies. Both are great sets though!

@@JAWowo69 The size is intimidating, but as mr mewman said, it has less full art cards which makes it more doable than the past 2 sets. To be fair, none of the Pokemon sets are easy to complete. If I could give you some advice, from someone who was just starting out recently, set expectations up front or you might go completely insane. First of all, you might want to watch a video from "Danny Phantumps" on pull rates to give you an idea of how many packs you would actually need to open to get some of the cards. kzbin.info/www/bejne/bZm0iGClmK98bdU If you want a true master set, plan on setting a limit and then buying singles. To pull every single card, IMO, is not realistic unless you have very deep pockets, a lot of time on your hand, and a lot of product to open. eg. My current goal is to open approx 6 booster boxes total (or around 200 packs). I hope to get some of the really expensive cards (eg. Mew, Gengar, and Espeon VMAX alt. art secret rares). That part requires luck and there is no guarantee we will get any of them. I have to remind myself of that constantly. I know that 200 packs will not get us close to a master set. However, we will have a majority of the main set close to complete. This means we will have 99% of the common/uncommon, rares, holos, and hopefully all of the normal V/Vmax cards. A lot of the parallel reverse holos will be there scattered about but nowhere near complete. I'm hoping we will have 50% of the full art/alt art Vs at the end of the set and with any luck some of those secret rares we want. We will try to trade dupes for cards we are missing and then, I will make a decision. Keep trying to open packs or keep sourcing singles that I really can't live without. I don't expect to complete this set. That is my reality. But, it is fun to see how close we get. Once I came to that conclusion, it became much more enjoyable. To complete a master set, would take more than a $1000+. I don't have the budget for it. Just trying to be honest and up front.

Wow! There it is. I'll be honest, this set is causing serious issues with my OCD. The 2 binder idea was driving me nuts. I just keep rejecting the idea. But, now that I see it, I definitely like it laid out like that. Breaking up the binder after the fighting energy wasn't something I thought of doing. Cool idea! The last few pages look awesome! So many cool art works to gaze upon. I love it! I hate to say it, but we are simply stacking the reverse holos ontop of the normal set cards right now in a normal 3 across binder. But, now that we are quickly building it up, the binder is feeling over stuffed. I will probably have to redo it by the end. It became real clear how big this set was when we quickly ran out of sleeves. :)

Yeah, it was a tough decision going with two binders, but I just didn’t like cramming a binder full with all 502 cards. I even tried the Top Deck that has 504 spots, but as you mentioned, the binder feels crowded. And it had this huge bulge making it difficult to zip. So, we settled in two binders. And since we split them off at the fighting type, if they release a new exclusive, I only have to shift one binder.

Hey, everyone. Important PSA here concerning binders! If you would like to put your Fusion Strike master set in one binder, check out the Vault X Premium Exo-Tec XL Zip Binder - 12 Pocket XL. It can fit 624 cards!! Bought me the Teal one for Fusion Strike. Unfortunately the middle pockets were a bit smaller than the top and bottom ones on this example, so penny sleeves barely had room left. But the sleeves don't wrinkle, so it's all good. This is something that had happened with a regular 12 Pocket Vault X binder I had bought a few years ago, but I had to send it back because the sleeves did wrinkle. Same with certain colours of Ultimate Guard binders I had ordered. I think beige, dark blue and red (bought a red one later which didn't have the issue). So it must be a quality control issue. I wish quality control did better in that area. Other than that I'm happy that I can put the whole set in one binder now! Though I have yet to complete my set to this day.

I've finally finished my master set! I too found it hard to lay it out. It took me from May 2022 until now to finish it. I ended up going with a 12-per-page binder for the main part, then put all the special cards in a 4-per-page binder. Not sure if you have updated anywhere, but I've also included the Wooloo Cosmos/Galaxy holo from the Boltund V Box.

You can keep trying, but it may take a while to pull them. However, if you just buy the singles, you know exactly what you are going to get.

One thing that might work better than two separate binders is purchasing the Dragon Shield 18-pocket sideloading pages which can go in a three ring binder. I know three ring binders aren't ideal, but these work really well and I think it's better overall for the collection than having two separate binders for a set.

Not always. Each set either has a non holo rare or holo rare. And then they have the reverse holo. They will then release some additional cards I call “exclusives” adding an additional variant.

I do one page regulars followed by one page reverse holo's and repeat this over and over again. On top of that I replace all the full arts with energy cards of the type it sits in (and a printed QR corresponding with the top loaders I keep'm in. Those are kept in a sealed PVC box, ordered, labeled etc. , Handy since I have doubles or triples of some for future investment. But hey, I like your system to man. Great work! Thanks for watching. We open several packs the first few days around the launch of each new set. Once we open everything, we can then order the few singles we are missing. I actually tried the Top Deck 500 binder but didn’t really like it. The cards seemed too jammed in it. They make on that holds 1000 cards and is a 4x4 binder. I haven’t tried it myself, but it definitely looks pretty big.

I’ve opened about 650ish packs, would say that pull rates aren’t the best. Just a few cheap cards (AND ALT CELEBI 😬) away from completing master set, but I’ve decided to grind it out and buy 0 singles. After that, vmax climax here comes. And the art in fusion strike is beautiful!

i really love how the set has a much lower number of ultra and secret rares. ive been annoyed at how many have been in sets recently. it makes it almost impossible to collect a full set without spending a lot and focusing on singles first and formost. i really enjoy opening packs and i dont have enough money to buy a lot of them, and i dont have the money to buy 70 full arts either. i dont like how big the set is however, considering most of it comes from having 2 cards of every pokemon.

Definitely not an easy set to complete, but much easier than Evolving Skies and Chilling Reign even it is a larger set. This is because it has almost half the amount of Full Arts and Secret Rares.
