Good video , ive been picking up some of the sword and shield boosters while theyre still reasonable , just recently got silver tempest , lost orgin and battle styles . Hoping to get chilling reign and brilliant stars soon here while i think chase cards are nice its not always everything , at least if youre looking for a long term play i mean you look at something like xy base or black an white base no real chase cards and worth a ton , id say scarcity and printing should weigh into things so even terrible sets like rebel clash can be worth something just cus it wasnt super heavily printed

But more chase cards , and more fun to open probably does make it easier to sell, at least to like a streamer or someone looking to open , sealed investors I'd say don't really care if there's a chase or not

Thanks! I think the art of the cards in a set are a major factor of the increase of price overtime. It also makes it easier to sell. Even if sets are not printed a lot, people will not want them as much if they don't have nice artworks.

If silver tempest only have 1 chase card i would just buy that single. Maybe just because i like Lugia, and it has this unique dark vibe compare to other art.

It's a cool card! If you plan on buying the Lugia V alternate art and are patient, the price will most likely continue to drop. If you look at TCGPlayer, the price from 1 year ago to now has steadily gone down. But, make your own decisions! I am not 100% correct all the time haha.

@@vaporself No one does haha, but our economic as a whole is going down, high fed rate, inverse yield curve, very high chance of recession. So i wouldn't expect something like pokemon cards to perform well. When we see rate cut things will fly again like 2021 high liquidity.

151 will go way up in value. I am going for the master set and need 1 card. 376/377 I just cant buy that last one till I get a good price. There are some cards in this set that are super rare to find out of the normal ones you would think. I have not bought pokemon ever. This set is bringing a new customer. The mid 40s -50s with money person who know the 151... And we have money and no need to sell our extras. UFC - Hockey - Football etc collectors as they hear about 151 are going oh that's neat. Oh the boxes are only 100-200 Ill take a few. Buy 151 and sit on it....

Thanks for watching my videos! I think for how many regular ETB's get printed nowadays, I would rather have PC ETB's. However, they do get opened a lot, so in 5 years from now, they will definitely be way more scarce. I will say though that people most likely open regular ETB's more than PC ETB's. But, they will probably take longer to go up in value than a PC ETB's since it's more of a premium product.

I think its because that guy stole a lot of good cards out of fusion Strike (and ES) I'm not sure how much it affected the set, but that's a big reason I think. I personally love it, but idk because of that. I'm going CZ, LO, vstar and I've got ES, and Some BS etbs. I couldn't hold the FS I had to crack it lol

So are you expecting evolving skies to get cheaper… ? Why would it do that? This is the cheapest it will likely ever be again. It’s out of print and Christmas is coming up, and it has a reputation as the best set of the last 15 sets.

I don't know if I mentioned (or inferred) that evolving skies would get cheaper. I meant that it having so much growth already might not be the best investment choice when there are other options out there. But, it being so popular, who really knows. Just my opinion.

Personally, I do not. But, that doesn’t mean it’s a bad investment! I’ve always just bought English and I guess it has just stayed that way. I’m not familiar with the Japanese market, so I wouldn’t be able to tell you my opinions on Japanese investing.

I think both Japanese and Eng variants of what he mentioned in this videos are both good buys to hold. There’s only going to be less and less booster boxes being kept sealed as time goes on since people would only buy to open them. So the more cracked open means less sealed. Eventually there will be a smaller pop.

@@vaporself potential value of the cards pulled, so for example: Theres not really any expensive cards in this set so this set is a pass. Mainly sets age based on Type of pokemon able to be pulled and the hype of the set at the time when it was originally released. This is why any box with pickachu or zard always appreciate higher. Because people want those more than say a set without them.

Ugh! Gross. I wouldn't buy vivid. Lol. Or shining fates. I'm still seeing etbs at every restock. And specialty boxes. I think the scarlet & violet sets are sleepers right now and will go up a couple years from now. I haven't bought any, but all the pack openings I see the cards look pretty cool. I personally think the new sets are just fine as far as the art. Maybe not a home run but they're still pretty cool

Vivid voltage and shining fates are definitely not the best investments imo. Scarlet & violet has really nice cards! I think the pull rates caused the single prices to tank, along with the booster box prices.
