man I just love how interactive they made the battle scenes in arceus, like if you stand too close to your pokemon you'll actually get hit when they use a move! they could have just plonked the player in a random spot at the start of the battle but they really went the extra mile and let us just do whatever while the pokemon fight. absolutely love this game already

Yea, and the flow of them is really good. You can for example litearlly physically just run away from battle instead of using the B button "Run away" option, and it will end. Alternatively, you can command your Pokemon to deal the finishing blow to the opponent, start running away from battle and it will just end normally without stopping you for a moment. It's really nice. Also I'm really glad you can battle multiple wild Pokemon at once, and it actually gets super scary when an overleveled wild alpha Pokemon and its squad of 3 helpers get aggro'd at you. It could wipe your team even by itself, but then it gets helpers that really start juggling you to death.

@@wisgarus yeah it's so much more immersive then they needed to make it and I love it. the only thing I sort of don't like for the new battle system is there doesn't seem to be any multi-target hitting moves that i've seen so far, so if you do get stuck in a hoard battle you've got to hope you can bump up your move order to try and hit twice before getting smacked around. though I could be wrong and just haven't learned any moves like that, either way it does give you more incentive to be sneaky and use your items to ensure you're getting the best advantage before going into a battle
