Pokemon Masters EX Failed as a Pokemon Game

Pokemon Masters EX is Pokemon's second attempt at a gacha game, but is failing due to their incompetence. The gameplay needs work, the game needs to be animated better, and it is falling behind next to other gacha games. Pokemon Masters is a fun experience but after a few weeks of playing the gameplay just begins to fall apart. Be it the long wall of text for story or the poorly animated visuals the game needs some HELP.

This feels pretty satire but I like it lol A lot of mobile games and even some console games have microtransactions but they get hated over that feature. PMEX is fine but I wish we could actually explore the Pasio region which would made it more enjoyable instead of jumping through different chapters of the story.

Honestly my main gripe with the game (which i hope I explained well in the video) is the fact we cannot explore Pasio and end game content seems a little dull. It seems like such a cool island. but i think they’re limited by the Phone’s capabilities, so maybe in the future game freak makes a game around it for the switch. That would be fun

The game basically is pay to win the stamina system ruins it. It wouldn’t be as frustrating if they do away with the stamina and make battles “fair” cuz 90 percent of boss battles are unfair the main Pokemon just tanks everything and one shots u or use cheap tactics like status conditions hitting all your Pokemon at once

@@JM-fr5ge Yeah that last part discourage me from playing. The game requires us to use certain pairs and upgrade them as much as possible to get better badges or defeat legendary pokemon and harder levels.

i've been asking the devs about a co-op renewal/raids or something. Every since that co-op battle where 3 Olivias solo Mewtwo. The game's solid enough, but i do wish some things can be pushed forward ;(

honestly if the game had a fun co-op experience I think the game would be top tier gacha. But i do believe the game can’t do too much so it wont step on the toes of the big money makers being the “mainline” games. so the game is in a weird limbo phase

@@asbed tbh, the co-op experience these days have been solid as well, compared to like year 3/year 2. Even the steel co-op is solid. Ah wells, doubt we'd get PVP (i actually dont want the game to get PVP :(, I'd have to throw more money ;-; ); but Raids, Global Raids, Co-op raids, it'd be nice.

The Writing is interesting, the visuals are nice & i actually enjoyed the gameplay, Sadly it is a moneysink gatcha game at its core & the rarest pairs are powercrept up the frosslASS, i do hope once the servers shut down that they do wat the megaman mobilegame did & sell it as a complete game

I've only started playing since the past month and I can surely say that the game really is hype when you start off, the stories are nice and I appreciate both the English and Japanese voicelines, sygna suits really add up to the game's aesthetics as well as the lodge which in short, really is a dating sim LMAO. What sucks is that there's not really much freedom to the player as Pasio can't be explored and interactions are limited to just mere taps. It could've been better but unfortunately it wasn't, and i'm on my last bottle of copium hoping that this game would live up to being more than what it is now. Jokes aside, the soundtracks are the main reason why I enjoy playing this game, and why I'll continue to support it.

You are wrong about the gameplay. It's very strategic. Without the right tinkering and timing you can't beat any main content. It's a lot better than one piece treasure cruise.

This type of video feels like a mix of satire (duh) and a mix of what a normal person's issues are with Pokemon Masters EX and gacha's in general. Like you have to go through all the annoyances in this video to even PLAY the game, and then there's fundamental issues that the playerbase itself has with the game that go beyond "bad graphics, money grab, hard to play." Funny video.

If this game dies (which I doubt it's happening soon), I just hope mainline games continue to bring previous characters on the newest regions again, because I think they were shafted to favor this game. Like, we've only had Lucas/Dawn and Ingo since 2019 (the year this game was released).

The game reach 5th anniversary... Yeah it's disaster... Anniversary give us the same character with same outfit and same pokemon animation but give us a banner increase 500 instead 400 scout points when low gems why??! Truly pokemon master is more p2w and unfriendly game right now Also I sub to u for this video 👍

Plus i heard they made getting characters more expensive. In my opinion masters ex is going to stop functioning soon as they are running out of ideas

2:28 Auto plays the Game better than you do? Would be pretty nice to have an Auto like yours! 😄 Everytime I use Auto on Hard Battles I always end up losing. My Auto mostly use ridiculous Moves that makes me lose a Match. In my experience! I play way better than Auto! lol

Now its just a cash grabbing toxic gacha with some fan servicing costume designing & all over the place canons, at this point its hardly even look like a pokemon game at all rather its just some fan servicing game where pokemon is just a secondary element of gacha, the game is in a horrible state and the recent greedy moves made by the devs are slowly killing the game, driving away most of the long term f2p players who stayed from the start to quit the game, its now only enjoyable to money spenders, even mainly for the big whalers, every month too much gacha stuffs, paid banners, & very few f2p resources to not even pity anything, if you have your wallet ready then its a fun game for you but without wallet its nothing but frustration every time, but sadly some big whalers & mostly the partnered youtubers are acting like nothing is happening & distracting community by saying that this game is the best f2p friendly game ever made, instead of protesting against devs so many wrong decisions & implements, these big whalers are just keep spending like crazy, so the devs are going even crazier every month with their growing greed, the complaints & feedbacks of the rest playerbase , mostly of f2p players are just burring under the bullshits of these whalers, so instead of fixing the issues the game is going towards hell, those who dont want a mental health issue with all the frustration playing this game are finally quitting it by numbers & I am one of those players, was playing from the start for 4 years as a f2p but now I am glad I quit this rubbish money hungry shit. Now I have realized that all the official pokemon games on mobile are nothing but pure greedy toxic gacha games, its so much better to just play any unofficial fanmade pokemon games out there which are really fun & have a healthy environment in it, & there are many of them.

Holy crap. Very interesting. I have been playing the game on and off (more off than On) for the last 4 years since launch and I have not really been apart of the community so I did not how unhappy people were with the current state of the game. The partnered KZbinrs have to get their paychecks and if they speak negatively they don't gain access to the information sent to them by the devs *I assume* and they lose out on "valueable content." But from a glance there are too many Paid Gem exclusive banners in the game and it seems like the game releases a LOT of characters every month which like you said sucks for f2p players. All Pokémon App games are made for the intent to milk their players. Pokémon Go did some questionable actions last year causing players unhappiness with the raid passes and masters seems to be in shambles right now. So I don't what the Pokemon Company is doing but something is off

@@asbed they got so many things wrong and they don’t make sense. Hilbert/Black is supposed to have an Emboar Kris and Lyra are practically the same so Silver should’ve had the feraligatr, not Ho-oh May/Sapphire never should have had Mudkip. Mudkip was always with Brendan/Ruby most of the times. Dawn/Platinum never used Turtwig… ever. Why does Elio/Sun have Primarina? Why do the female characters get the better treatment? N should only have 1 of the dragons (Zekrom) whilst Hilbert/Black has Reshiram. Why do people who should not have legendaries get legendaries etc… It’s a mess.

I also assume they want to give fan favorite characters like Steven and Cynthia Legendaries, which retrospect does not make any sense. But if you do go with the multiverse idea than this would make sense. Where in their timelines they caught the legendary pokemon rather than the main character. Like how in Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon all the evil leaders had their respected Legendary Pokemon. But then again its inconsistent.
