@@maxdekudess3354 SS Leaf has Bad Poison, Def and Sp. Def debuffs, Potion and Sync accel; SS Blue has Def buff, gradual Sp. Def buff and Gauge + Crit buff; SS Red has strong offense on both categories; even with the power creep they are still great (although I rarely use SS Blue as of late).

@@zjzr08 but blue's buffs are extremely slow, you don't get sun in that team and your gauges will be struggling a lot once you run out of move gauge acceleration. You'd much rather run them in separate teams, like leaf with lyra; red with morty; and blue with, well, pretty much anyone, his buffs are versatile even though they're slow

Something I love about this game's music is how much experimentation and changes to themes it has. Since this is a mobile game, there is no way any remix here would become the definitive version of the track which allows the composer to create incredibly unique versions of tracks with no real risk.

That's because the Mainline Games are a different Universe where Red is a thing while Ash takes Red's Role in the Anime. Pokémon Masters takes place in *a* Version of the Games Universe since Red exists there and no one knows who Ash is. (I doubt it actually takes places in the Mainline Games Universe although it would be cool) i myself played that Story and Ash is also from an other Universe that is not from the Anime but a Version from the Anime's Universe since he was training for the Masters 8 before appearing on Pasio

I've been playing Masters since launch all the way up to this day and there's so much about this game that just makes me happy. The music is top tier, all the interactions between characters across the 9 generations is like a dream come true and if you got a powerful team, the battles can be so much fun to play through. There are definitely issues that need to be addressed like the gacha system and some of the balancing for past units that just seem bad, especially with new events coming out lately that cater more towards whales and people with insane luck who have all the top tier units. However the devs are willing to listen which is great and it's what has made this game get better every year, at least in my opinion. I'm happy to see videos like this because i do think Masters deserves more positive attention and love from the pokemon community

I'm pretty sure SS Red came in the 0.5 year anniversary, while SS Blue and SS Leaf came on the 1st anniveersary. And to clarify, Shota Kageyama only compossed Battle Sync Paits! in this game, while everything else in this game is composed by Haruki Yamada. Most people tend to miscredit since the latter isn't as well known, and the only time you can check the credits is during the Battle Beat Twitter event 2 years ago, and it is confirmed that Haruki Yamada composed over 95% of the battle tracks. I played Masters ever since day 1, and there are a lot aspects I loved about this game. The lore of this game has been 80% hits (with some mishaps in between) and you can see how different regions' trainers interacted with others (with the latest Grusha event being one of the best showcase of character usages), so it's not always fanservice. Some of them are a clever callback or neat references from different games or media. Some of the character models look so damn good (better than BDSP's character models lmao). Character team compositions are fun because it does not feel like your usual pokemon double battle, as you need strategies and knowledge to use these specific units to win. The music? Boy, for some reason not many people talk about them, and yes some of the themes are not that good compared to the original ones (many of the team grunt themes and the original Steven theme are some of the worse ones), but you can't deny some of them blew the original out of the park, like ALL Kalos Champion Stadium Elite 4 themes. Some of the music do have some character growth in them, like Guzma, Lusamine and Silver. Or some insane foreshadowing like Decisive Cynthia theme before PLA came out lmao But yeah, the game has been really bad with the gem distributions and never really have a proper balancing with its roaster, making your og units almost useless. The 4th anniversary is kinda so-so aside from me getting Paulo (a prototype Kieran but has a genuine reason to get stronger) and Tina. Co-op mode? It sucks because it doesn't require you to be in-sync with others.

Honestly,my favourite part about Red's different units are the definition of lore accurate And I love how they properly flesh out the kanto trio,like We've always known red as the strongest and blue his rival, But leaf was never even canon til now,but masters actually takes her,and explains that she might not be red,but shes just as good as red and blue And about other people,but Red being the very top,is a good decision in my opinion

This is basically my most wanted game I want to play when I bought a new smartphone. My old one was 32 bit and didn't support that game, so I can't wait to try this one. I don't know if I'm gonna stay playing for a long time, but considering how addicted I was to Fire Emblem Heroes (without spending real money of course) I'm very optimistic to say the least. It has insane depth although at times it demands you to have some specific parameters applied during battles -- but it has stuff like abilities that ups damage when you crit hit, prevent crit damage, ups damage when super effective, additional damage when enemy's debuffed, or has a status condition, or setting Terrain-like moves for types with no Terrain/weather yet in the mainline called Zones, or Physical/Special boosters that are one-time boost that stacks with your stats boosts -- it's a very interesting battle game IMO.

As a long time player, this is what I feel about the game as a F2P: As a newbie: So cool, so fun! So many things to do. And I'm so happy to get any new Sync Pairs. Like getting my first 5* Sync Pair - Blue and Pidgeot. Then I got Sygna Suit Red and Charizard and continued playing the game! As an almost a year old player: Not that lucky in terms of getting new Sync Pairs but it is really fulfilling to beat an Extreme Battle without using the "Key" New Sync Pair/s! Villain Arcs are the best! As a 2 year-old player: I almost got all Free to Play 5* Sync Pairs to 5/5. Felt boring and repetitive to some areas like Legendary Gauntlet and Trainer Lodge. Ultimate Battles are "ultimately" difficult but have underwhelming rewards. They are limiting F2P rewards and I honestly stopped playing the game around November 2023, then decided to play again once I knew that Nate and Rosa will be the new Neo Champions to be featured in December (I love Unova, I'm very bias in terms of Gen 5), and got lucky to be able to get them both. Thats it. But there is one thing that never changed in this game, the quality of the stories they gave for our beloved characters in the franchise. At the moment, I'm afraid because the story slowly progresses into coming of Arceus which makes me think that the game is ending. XD

I used to be a whale in Masters but after the anniversary last year (2023) I kind of stopped caring and playing. I would chime in now and then and roll on daily pulls if it was a cool unit I liked. But it just got to be boring for me. I think my biggest problem is the gameplay. Imo it is repetitive and some modes felt like a chore (Villa, Champion Stadium etc.) and after the story wrapped up it seemed like a money pit of just pulling for new units, just because they were new. That said I will probably come back and pull for a new Archie Alt/Chuck/Drayden/Rowan/Byron if they ever get added to the game. But it’s kind of the same units getting alts over and over again.

25:48 I'mma be honest, the gacha system for Pokemon Masters EX is horrible. As is mentioned in the vid, the currency shortage is a major issue but the rates and pity point system are an even bigger issue. The banners like boasting having 10%/12% chance for a 5 star character but only ONE PERCENT of that belongs to the main rate-up character, while the rest of it is given to a bunch of random characters that one might/might not want. Which most of the time forces you to go all the way to max out on pity point to get the rate-up character (That would be me, I'm trying to get Sygna Suit Lusamine so hard right now cuz Necrozma). On top of that, the pity points you gain for a banner are S E P E R A T E D between its Paid and Free versions (I've never spent money on the game but even that seems quite ludicrous). This is coming from someone who just pulls the characters they like, I don't know how much worse this might be for others who pull for meta.

Wait for the many Triple Poke Fair banners to get 3 new limited units for a total 4.5% rate B.) Save up Gems by buying the EX Boost (the one with the Sync Orbs) and use them for PokeFair Selects C.) Just maybe pull like 3-5 times in a Master Fair then just ignore it if I didn't get one; Master Fairs since like a year ago now are guaranteed to rerun unlike in the past where you aren't guaranteed they will Funny story is that I just got Gloria for free for the first time in 4.5 anniversary free ticket even when she's like been in the game for how many years now.

I think the points youre making in the "bad points" are definitely valid, I would wish a stronger emphasis that this is the entire Gacha game genre, though, with Genshin Impact as one of its prominent representatives having the exactly same problems, I've only ever come to embrace Masters after I was used to this Gacha genre from previous games like Genshin and Tower of Fantasy, and compared to those, I feel like I'm getting so many more pinatas to crack and so many more units to build with specific niches.

Imo the game is super worth to play, the only thing that I paid for was the story gem pack or whatever it's called because it gives you a ton which is like max 30$, after that you really don't need to spend any money at all. Even if you don't get the specific Characters you want you can still make a strong team, max it and go crazy. The hardest part really is just getting through the league a first time. After that you start making more and more characters so yeah :)

The only thing i don't really like about masters is that some units are behind a paywall which doesn't happen in fire emblem heroes although to be fair the are some units in there that you need the fe pass to get them guaranteed but the point is that even if you don't spend real money you still have chance to get them even if its very slim but in masters you have to pay to get certain units (not all of them) but its kinda annoying

There is barely any more challenges that you want to get gems faster. Mobile games are never sustainable because of the constant updating, and they can kill batteries too. The graphics surely are the best like an anime. However, the animation is cheap that you would see the walking animation when turning around. I would have loved to see spin-off games involving the Trainer Classes like with Pokémon Ranger. The spin-off games can be on the consoles.

I really liked this game in the beginning, but now it just grew stale. Like there is almost no fun things to do. I only did the villain arcs and those were kinda fun (some better then..... Others). They also release limited units too fast after each other and of course you don't need everything but it would be nice if they threw a large chunk in a special banner that never leaves.

Still can't believe pokemon masters has voice acting and they release scarlet and violet after it, with still no voices! Why? The app just showed it works, so why is it absent? They should have contact to the series studio and if not any actor is better than none! Is it because they don't have time to add them? Then give them time to make the game! Don't care if it's gamefreak, toei or nintendo; a rushed game is bad! You know who said that? Miyamoto, founder of Nintendo!

actually this game has one of HIGHEST gacha rate of all the gacha game exist tho, meanwhile this game has 7 % for drop rate of highest rariety characters, TON of gacha games have 3 % or less for highest rariety characters drop rates including Most popular ones like Genshin Impact(0.6%)etc glad this isnt another gacha=bad review, need more video like this really....

I know Genshin is popular, but how is the pity system, as I can't believe people would be fine with just a 0.6% rate, as some infamous ones in Masters like 4 split banners have a 0.5% chance were lambasted.

@@zjzr08 for geshin, the pity carry over next banner if you dont get any 5 stars or the rate up characters(dont wanna explain everything cuz Im too lazy and its not really a best pity system anyway), also even you only buy daily packages(the 4.99 dollar) you get like +30 pulls every month too(including gems from daily and event missions too)..also the game dont have pvp thus dont really need to pull every characters too

It's a interesting game bass on many other cell phone gacha game. I like how it's like in the show how teams rocket it's aways battling ash and his friends with 3 on 3 Pokémon battle.

Is it worth it? Hell yeah. You don't even need to whale in this game to enjoy it, unless you're some meta chaser who wants to beat every single content there is outside of story.
