I totally forgot about playing the game on the deck using game pass cloud gaming, you can use game pass cloud gaming on the deck like it is and play the game pretty well, but natively installing game pass and running the games is a bit different.

You get good performance (aroudn 40-45 fps) with Everything on low and turned off but texture on mid, anti alisaing on fxaa and view distance on medium. Good performance and looks sharp

TSR AA helps with performance. Uses some kind of upscaling if I remember right. Should get you a locked 30 in most cases.

Yeah, need to force the resolution lower than 800p first in the Steam game setting. 640p should be ok, though a bit harder to read those small texts. Still I like the TSR more with 640p. Looks smoother especially the grass and it's shadows.

Someone should create documentary on how the game is made. I heard the project started with $10k with some part time high school student. They used already enstablish engine like Unreal Engine 4/5.. modern engine already have presets setting to help developer making games easier, its commercial engine like Unity anyway.. from what i know, they used preset model and textures, so thats why it look unreal engine generic but its good for small company without in house engine like EA (Frostbite), Ubisoft (Snowdrop), Capcom ( RE Engine), Square Enix ( Lumious ) namely a few famous engine out there..

Heads up that it's currently £22.49, but I'd expect that to shoot up once it's fully released. If you can afford it now, I'd probably just grab it while it's early access, otherwise you could end up paying almost double the amount. There is the risk of it never reaching 1.0 but I'd be surprised now with the popularity of the game.

Just to make something clear: The head developer said that for now they have only released 60% of the game - And this game is on steam wishlisted since what, 2021 or so? So it took them 2-3 years to make this game to early access and they said that they want to take at least 1 year to further upgrade it. So don't expect a full release soon. Oh and they mentioned that the price might change after they exit early access. They may hire more people now thanks to the huge copies sold. So it could be even really only a year or 1.5 years for full release.

I've been waiting for Palworld over 2 Years since when I've heared first Fime of it in 2022 and my Wait is FINALLY over. I've Start Playing Palworld just it's Relase in Friday 19.1.2023 for 2 Days and Gotta say I Really LOVE that Game. It's like a Monster Hunter, The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild, Valheim, Digimon and a Pokémon Defienitily Legends Arceus an Open-World Survival Monster Tamer Action Game but Monsters have Guns, Gunmon would Be a Nice name for This Game too. I Play Palworld on my Lenovo Legion Gaming Pc but I would LOVE to Buy Steam Deck Oled and Play Palworld for it. LOVE my Pals and Palworld. ❤

Theres a working fsr2 and xess mod up on nexus that helps performance out a LOT - helped me keep above 30 with medium shadows and a constant 45 on low Figured I'd let people know. It works for windows and dex with multiple configurations

The new update 3.5.17 on Steam Deck finally adds the ability to dim the status LED. I think it’s a huge deal for those of us with a translucent shell. One thing to note; on my OLED LE, if I go below 10 notches on the dial, none on the LEDs work. If I keep it at 10, only white LED works. Anything higher & color LEDs activate as well (when they’re supposed to)

The game pass work around with Microsoft edge is worth the trouble. The downside is that playing the game pass version on deck led me here 😂 I wish I could try a sample of the actual pc version for free before bailing on my initial save 🤣

Even running at the Very Low preset in the settings, my Deck was still hot enough that it just randomly shut down and rebooted. For me, this game is currently a no-go on the Deck. As for desktop, I'm currently unable to play it on desktop Linux, as Palworld currently does not work with my Arc A770.

The only problem both me and my sister have playing this on the steamdeck is its crashing... Not just the game the whole system freezes and we have to restart the steamdeck. And it happens at least once an hour. If the autosave wasnt good i would not be playing this, luckily i dont lose much progress.

I have the older lcd model Steam Deck, and it seems to overheat and crash consistently with this game. Granted, I did liquid metal mod, jsaux heatplace case mod, and Deckyloader mod it with Fandecky at max fan settings to max out cooling, so I probably messed up the cooling somewhere in it. ^_^; But if it happens to anyone else just downclock it to 10W TDP and about 1000-1200 mhz gpu clock and it seems to resolve the heating and crashes in this and other games that stress the gpu and cpu at the same time.

Dang, 21 watts on the battery. About 2 and a half hours on the OLED. I guess that's fine, just expect the battery to reach 10% each play session unless you only play for an hour.

Yeah no, this game is unplayable on the Deck. I had to increase the TDP to 15 and playing this with those settings turns my OLED into a jet engine with how loud the fans get. Amazing that, of all the games I've tried, which include RDR2, AC Origins, Dying Light, or Death Stranding, the first game I've found that pushes the Deck too hard is Palworld, which is also the worst looking game I've tried on it.

Sorry but I have to disagree with you. My experience is like a lot of other LCD/OG deck users here; it’s early access and not good experience on deck yet. It’s rated platinum on proton db, but the “playable” rating has the most caveats of any game I’ve seen on the steam store. The poor performance, poor graphic, the heating issues/crashes and unbearably small text makes the game definite unplayable without steaming from a beefier PC. It’d say (currently) it runs worse on steam deck than S/V does on the switch. Thankfully this game is in early access, and the overwhelming support it’s seen will hopefully give it plenty of space to grow. I’m really hoping that the devs will be able to optimize Pal world and bring it to a finished state. That, or I hope valve releases deck 2.0 or a PC build for steam OS (or even prebuilt pcs with steam OS).
