While Volcarona may be a non Pseudo... It's evolution line is famous for being the longest single evo line to take timewise. Larvesta evolves into Volcarona at lvl 59 and normally has a Slow Exp gain rate (1.25m exp). It also only learns a new move at every 10th level (10, 20, etc). Couple that with the fire bug type and many Pokemon that learn rock/flying type moves... No bueno.

No challenge, just grind. 4) No pokemon contest, got replaced by: a theatre show constiting on throwing items to the public ; Pokestar Studios, with an awful hax ratio and with scenarios containing: incest, dictatoriship, money-laundering, gerontophilia, NSFW fantasies, thieffry, and mass-murder.

4:50 As a Gen V fan who just spent days masuda hunting an Oshawott (a terrible shiny all the way up to Samurott unless you're in Hisui) just because Oshawott was the first pokemon I ever used and I wanted a special one... (breathes) ...there's plenty of reasons not to like Gen V! Really high evolution levels, designs that feel unoriginal or like reproductions of gen 1, a ton of rival battles throughout the main stories, no way to grow berries after the wifi shutdown, Pokestar studios not being skippable, older gen pokemon being locked behind black and white's story and B2 and W2 being super hard to get ahold of. Oh and Landorus T. Lots of reasons! However.... they introduced the shiny charm, elite fours that can be challenged in any order, and the ability to select multiple pokemon at once in the box (Yeah, B2W2 is when that became a thing!). The games are challenging, added some of the coolest pokemon ever like Haxorus, Zoroark and Volcarona, gave us the first story sequel in the main franchise, and are the last of the classic 2D style pokemon games. There's lots not to like, sure but there's plenty to love. Also, I feel like most haters haven't even played B2W2; honestly, a lot of the complaints I've heard about BW are lessened in B2W2: Fewer rival fights, a bigger pokedex, more to do in the postgame. Hating V is just a meme imo, a popular thing to do. Okay, so maybe I'll just draw 25 cards.

The biggest sin of Gen 5 to me was not having the centerpiece of all my team builds available to me before post-game. Not even B2W2 fixed the issue for me when they had the biggest opportunity at redemption at their fingertips.
