I like how PSMD's first theme sounds very gentle, fitting as it's very early on in the game. It evolves into something more serious as you progress, making it fit with the flow of the game as seen (heard) in the second and third theme.

The following is what Gates of Infinity did unlike the other games: -No quizzes -The player could choose only between Pikachu, Riolu, Axew, and the Unova starters (whereas in the other games you could choose every starter to date, along with a few extras) -The player couldn't recruit any legendaries (aside from eight exceptions) -No Hunger (unless it was specified in maybe two or three post-game dungeons) -The final boss would save the damage you did to it if you fainted (don't hold me to that one, that's just what I've heard) Players were horrendously babied in Gates to Infinity, if not completely cheated out of the experience the rest of us got in previous games (provided that we started with Blue/Red Rescue Team or Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky, I started with Blue Rescue Team when it originally came out, Explorers of Time following once it came out). If I had actually played that thing, I would not have gone into Super Mystery Dungeon as naturally as I did.

EX14 rescue didnt feel meaningful to me... all you do is stop a meteor and other typical disasters, for explorers you stop time from calapsing (it felt the most meaningful), adventure has literally no story tied to it, gates and super was pretty ok, athough they had similar stories, having to fight everyones negative feelings

6) PMD1. The first games suffer from that soundfont. Thank the gods for the PMD remastering project. 5) PMD4(a.) It's good for the situations it's used in, but it's not what I think of for a fight. 4) PMD4(c.) Probably a surprise given it's rock and I love rock, but the others it's going against just beat it. 3) PMD3. Deep, booming, powerful, and just a bit icy. This is a fine piece of music. 2) PMD2. Juuuust the right amount of chiptune in this song. 1) PMD4(b.) Violins, electric guitars, those other instruments, oh I'm in heaven here.

Pokemon mysterey dungeon for the switch anyone. If they do make it, they should add sun and moon for the Pokemon mysterey dungeon switch version as the main topic. I would call it Pokemon mysterey dungeon secret of the sun. Want a harder version. You can also do secret of the moon, but moon is harder then sun and has more of a night theme then sun does. The islands are called sunne island and moone island and up to 3 players can play. Only one player can play story mode, though. What's the main storyline? Well, you can choose litten, popplio, or rowlet, and even a couple other starters from gen 5 through 6. Pikachu also has a different look and typing, depending on which version you play. In sun version, Pikachu is a bright Pikachu and is electric/fire typing. In moon version, Pikachu is dark Pikachu and is electric/dark typing. Eevee is also playable, but depending on which version you play is what it will evolve into. If you play sun, it will evolve into espeon. If you play moon, it will evolve into umbreon. The main storyline is that the sun or moon is only staying up and it wont go into daytime or nighttime. Like all other games, it is a human turning into a Pokemon and they cannot remember anything but their name. Unlike all of the other games, you do not have to take a quiz in the beggenning to become a Pokemon. You can also decide on what you want your teammates gender to be and even nicknAme your Pokemon team. Marshadow has turned solgaleo and lunala evil and that is what's causing the sun or moon to stay put. Marshadow has also darkened some other Pokemon souls and created some dangerous dungeons. The main goal of the game is to defeat Marshadow, but you must face many other challenges before that and you also have to defeat solgaleo or lunala before you fight Marshadow. Like in every single mysterey dungeon game, there is still a kelceon shop. You can only play multiplayer mode and play with other players on peliper island. Player one has to be the Pokemon they choose the player to be, but player 2 and three can choose what Pokemon they want to be. The other Pokemon that you don't choose to be on your team will be a boss fight and who knows, one of the bosses you fight might want to join your team after you defeat them. My Pokemon team will be Popplio and Eevee. And I would choose secret of the sun, because my favorite Pokemon in the game are mostly in sun version.

I feel as if I'm the only one that doesn't like the PMD2 explorers and PSMD rock version (3rd). explorers version felt really out of touch with what the made blue and red version sound great, specifically cues like 0:23 were ruined, as with PSMD versions 2 and 3 do this as well. Thankfully this was rectified in gates to infinity's version which is my 2nd favorite. As for the rock version, it just doesn't fit it at all to me, not much else I can describe. I like red blue and GTI versions the most, and PSMD version 2 to a degree. PSMD version 1 isn't as bad but I'm not as crazy about it since, well, not my choice of instruments like PSMD version 3.

TOP 4 POKEMON MD (I'm sorry that I picked all the ones but we all have different opinions 4Pokemon super mystery dungeon (great themes but the challenge is not good at all it's easy to beat I beat it like in a week and the story line isn't as good as other mystery dungeons) 3 Pokemon MD blue rescue team (I am currently playing through this it is a pretty good game but the problem is that the story isn't explained good enough like when you battle moltreses it makes 0 sense why your battling him same with articuno but Zapdos does make sense great storyline tho apart from the things I said up there) 2 Pokemon MD .GATES TO INFINTY I heard how bad this game was but I just played and omg it was great the game was so good the storyline and all great characters too there back story is amazing the bosses too and all that's all 1 yep MD EOT EOD EOS idk what's so good about em but it's a game worth your time playing and dat storyline tho So what's your guys fav I wanna know

I actually had more of a legitimate challenge with super than explorers (IMO most of explorers' difficulty wasa based on "partner/required companion (like cresselia) did something stupid and died/made the whole team die, time to waste anothere reviver seed", even though it did have its legit moments, like dialga)

6)GTI. Oh god, kill me. The whole thing has been simplified so that whatever the hell the beat at the front is takes up everything, and it sounds really empty. Which is ironic because I think it was supposed to sound grand and booming. 5)PMD2. I personally think that these games have some great tracks. This is not one of them. It's way too techno, and like GTI, it sounds very empty. 4)PMD4a. This one suffers from the same problem in that it sounds very unappealing because of how simple and childish it is. But thematically I guess that's fitting. 3)PMD4c. I generally like rock, but this is outclassed by the ones above it. 2)PMD1. I'm definitely in the minority here, but I LOVE these games and their old soundfont. It makes everything sound very complex and layered, and the whole theme is very dynamic, something that can't really be said for the others. 1)PMD4b. This is just the PMD1 theme, but remastered perfectly, with a great choice of instruments. Perfection.

Explorers is my favourite. But I still think the boss theme sounds like shit in it. It is in fact possible to like something but also recognise its flaws. Perhaps calling me "cancer" was a bit extreme, no?

When playing the gates to infinity demo, most of the time I was like "STOP TALKING!!!!!!!". Also, in my opinion, gates to infinity has the worst boss theme out of the four.

It my opinion there is no "worst" mystery dungeon game. It's hard to dislike this serious considering blue rescue team brought me into pokemon as a whole. I will admit Gates to Infinity I liked the "least" I actually really like it just less than the others. (Im not counting PMD3 because I never played it, obviously)

...I'm a minority here, but I really like Red/Blue Rescue Team's the most. I think it's the majestic feel that I really appreciate about them - very suitable for the turn-based gameplay and the Pokémon that they accompany. There's also the fact that I really like the second part, for some reason or another... maybe it's the constant movement there is? Not to say I dislike the rest - though I will say Explorers and Gates aren't especially to my liking. They're not bad; they just seemed to get a bit techno for my liking. And I feel as if the parts were made quite a bit simpler. Good in their own right, but I still have a pretty strong preference for the first. I'm biased, though. ...Then Super Mystery Dungeon came around and gave us my favorite soundtrack of... well, any game ever, maybe. A rendition of the ORIGINAL boss music, full of all those fun moving parts? A remix that's less techno and more interesting overall? Crazy guitars for the first time in the series which actually sound pretty darn good!?

My favourite is PMD2 because if feels like a remake of red and blue rescue team. Not many things were added or changed but enough to make it an improvement. Unfortunately I picked up gates to infinity which I now treat as a separate game entirely :p

I disagree, I think it’s the least interesting one here. I did like how Super had the theme “grow up” with the first few bosses using a childish sounding version of the theme but then the rest of the game using a more serious one

Super mystery dungeon theme 1 is amazing, I love it Theme 2 grew on me a lot recently, I love it as well, the bosses you fight with it are cooler like magmortar and mega tyranitar

For me the order goes 6) PSMD 1. It feels like it's trying too hard to appeal to the nostalgia of the first game, and ends up being rather plain and uninteresting to me 5) PSMD 2. Nothing going against anyone who likes this theme, however i personally have the opposite problem with it than the first one. It feels like there's too much going on and all the instruments get a bit jumbled imo. 4) GTI. The theme is decent to listen to, however i feel it took the techno feel up too far. Not a bad theme, rather the opposite, however it has the same too much going on problem as psmd 2. 3) PSMD 3. The theme's rock vibe perfectly encapsulates the feeling of having to overcome the biggest challenge you'll face. It was this song that made me start truly appreciating Super's soundtrack. Only reason it''s not higher is that i simply like the other two more. 2) PMD1. The theme of defying those who stand in your way is incredibly prominent here. From the first time you hear it against Skarmory, to the Groudon fight, it never gets old imo. I could listen to it on repeat for hours on end. 1) PMD2. All the praise i've given to the others applys here, as well as so much more. The techno aspect shows the boss in your way as a serious challenge you must overcome, and despite it not fitting completely with the tone of the game, it is an incredible song in a soundtrack of almost all amazing songs. The reason it stands out above the rest is that every time you hear it, you're fighting to save something, whether it be Azurill of the fate of the entire planet.
