I remember watching when Asprey first played this and how much he HATED that final boss because of the camera shenanigans. Watching him just ownzone it attempt one was really something special for a long time viewer!

I just want to say that I love how the "giant lizards" (Aka nidorino and nidoking) have absolutely nothing to do with the story, and are just some unrelated angry dude's experiment gone wrong.

It's not like it's anything game-ruining, I just thought it was an unnecessary explanation for something that most people wouldn't have noticed otherwise. There are plenty of games with unlimited ammo, especially a shoot-em-up (I think that's accurate) game like this.

I think it was meant as foreshadowing, because upgrading the teleporting bullets gives you the teleport you use at the end of the game.

Well that certainly went in a different direction from most pokemon horror stuff. I was expecting the ending to imply this was the pokemon world the whole time, and that this was 'the true origin of pokemon' or something. Real wild experience, thanks for streaming it.

You know, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this game, but I was pleasantly surprised! Yes, there’s a fair amount of “edgy”-ness to it, but I felt that you kept a good balance of acknowledging that while still keeping up the fun and spooky atmosphere. I think that speaks to your skills as a streamer. I was really invested in the story for kind of a weird reason. I’m not sure that this makes sense, but this really feels like a Gen 1 story. Not just the way it looks, either. The legendaries for most Pokemon games are comparable to deities, but it didn’t really start out that way. The Kanto legendary birds were seen as “winged mirages”, but they didn’t really feel all that present in the world. Mew and Mewtwo were the big ones, with the lore in Cinnabar Mansion being laid out. Really, Gen 1 feels more Sci-Fi in that way, whereas all subsequent games give me more of a fantasy feel, at least as far as the legendaries/mythical Pokemon are concerned. Mew being sort of compared to the “missing link”, and Mewtwo being a genetic experiment gone wrong. I want to give Xargoth a lot of credit for that reason. This story really brings back that Gen 1 few for me. I like that it takes the premise of Mewtwo being a genetic experiment gone wrong and really goes all the way with it. Sorry for the long comment! I didn’t know this fan game would make me gush so much! It really made me nostalgic in a way I didn’t expect! Thanks for introducing me to it!!

I honestly think the gun upgrade being more shot speed instead of just more damage is not that great of an idea when so many bosses have a chance to teleport away whenever you hit them. Against those you can't really enjoy the extra dps since theyrun away so often and it pretty much makes you need to reposition way more often, if it was a damage increase instead it would show up against those.

I'm really not sure why the developer decided against having actual Pokemon battles in this game. Surely it's not beyond the wit of man to prevent you becoming OP and ensuring these encounters can be avoided if the player wants to and/or they are able to. injuries could slow you down or maybe you can get ambushed.
