you can use any .sav just simply click folders and select where the emu to search for it and if you have the .sav in the folder but make sure its in the folder that tbg dual is in you have to restart the emu for this to take effect. if you guys want a toto on that i would be glad to offer it.

xenon, the reason that psychic missed is because there is a 1/256 chance that every 100% accuracy move except for swift will miss in 1st gen..

I heard that with crits in gen 1 is like with 100 acc moves- there is always that tiny chance of not having a crit (in case of 100 acc move, there is a chance of missing, like with psychic).

1) Critical hits are calc'd using the pokemon's speed this gen, if you're faster, there is very little chance of you getting a crit. 2) You can EV train in first gen, except it's called Stat Experience, and, much like the new and improved EV's you can make your stats get an extra 63 points at level 100, except this gen, you can max EVERY stat! How to stat experience train your pokemon legit'ly? Get them to level 100, use the rare candy glitch if you like. Then, battle wild pokemon until your pokemon has no PP left (i recommend cerulean cave as there are high evolved pokemon there, you'll see why shortly) then heal up at a pokemon centre, and put your pokemon into a pc box, then get it out again. This forces the game to re-calc the stats of your pokemon, depending on how many wild pokemon your pokemon has battled. Basically, it adds the base stats of enemy wild pokemon onto a score, until it's maxed out at something ridiculous, way into the 65000's. However, about 30 trips to cerulean cave with each of your stats going up by roughly 2 points each time isn't bad if you have the patience. :)

For Gen I, crit is based on speed. Since Charizard is fast he probably would crit A LOT (but not all the time) And like said a few times before, EVs are in Gen I and II but they are WAYYY different. As for the battle. The new (old) Reflect mechanics is awesome. I think for Gen V it would be so overpowered, but it's a really interesting idea. Toxic is meh in early Gens. It's by no means bad, but it's not as awesome as it becomes in Gen V! Man, it's so weird to see a Gen I competitive battle.

I think Charizard's Slash very rarely misses. I've used it hundreds of times and almost always get a critical hit. Probably because it's base speed stat is quite high.

Anything with a base speed of 64 or higher will crit 99.6% of the time when using Slash, Razor Leaf, Karate Chop, Crabhammer, etc. So Sandslash and Persian will both crit 99.6% of the time, but Farfetch'd won't, and Parasect will crit less than Farfetch'd.

The EVs in first and second generations were Stat Exp, calculated on the base stats of defeated opponents. For instance, if you defeat a Chansey, you would get exp. and 255 HP, 5 atk, 5 def, 105 special and 50 speed. These points can go up to 65535, while 65025 stat exp points are equivalent to Gen III's 252 EVs. Also you can max it for every stat. Crits were based on speed (base stat), and every single fully evolved pokemon (bar Parasect) had a ~99,6% chance to crit with their high-CH moves.

I use Emulator VBA I figured out how to batle and trade on one computer with TGB DUAL, but don't know how to do it online. I made connection with friend online in VBA Line using Hamachi, but in game we can't get into cable room (game don't see us connected, only VBA see connection)...

Okay some Gen1 crit data for you: When the pokemon base speed is 65 or higher, you'll have higher crit chance, and the moves that have already a higher crit chance such as slash, crabhammer and others, will be almost always critical hits. Slash has a really reduced chance of not being crit (except when you use focus energy).
