I love how the original release hides a secret in one of the Gym leaders sprite, one which it took until recently to discover Erika was supposedly a Ghost Type specialist in earlier stages of development of Red and Green. Her sprite even has a purposeful reference, with her Yukata done up the same way it is done up on corpses It was only in Yellow that it was changed in the sprites(official art has it in the way we know it now)
