I've been using centiscorch and chansey in PvP event battles with great results. All common cards; put chansey in the active slot while building energy on sizzlipede and sweep with centiscorch

Yeah the game's starting to feel a bit repetitive. The new event isn't very helpful as it takes 3 wonder coins to attempt one rare pick and wonder coins take forever to recharge.

It even gets worse as a "dolphin" player where all you will ever see is pikachu ex turbo or mewtwo. Youll climb but it isnt fun. It is getting to that point where you should just go to private lobby, type "noex" and have fun again.

If you’re still early on, you can just delete your save and your first 10-15 decks can be pulled within the first 10 minutes. I deleted and restarted for about an hour until I got a save where almost all the decks had an ex card. My second deck I pulled, I literally got a mewtwo ex full art card. I went from not being able to complete the expert solo battles after 2 weeks, to beating all of them in under 2 hours.

Sounds like fun opening all those card packs. I'm fine with what I have at the moment so I'll just keep what I was given the first time. I assume whenever a new expansion comes out people will experience the same thing, but by then it'll be too late to reroll your account.

Personally, I havent had any problems aat all, and love wonder picking for that sweet 20% chance to get the card i need, even better if you need 2 cards from the pack. And in general, the rate of rares and EX cards is so high, I havent had ANY problems as F2P in getting a more than solid collection going. I just wish the game had more support cards, as deckbuilding seems to miss some pieces to really make the decks sing. Currently at lvl 12 and my favorite deck is a doubble EX moltres+EX charizard fire deck that simply snowballs out of control if moltress hits the board early, with pidgeot and sabrina to help with board control. Also got my Kabutops for the fighting deck as late as today, and had no issue as a F2P clearing the lapras event. I only use wonder coins for specific cards i dearly need, letting me build up a nice little stockpile of them, and have stopped using tickets for packs as my collection is getting to the point of hitting diminishing returns on extra packs, so i can save up for whatever the next set is, since my current collection at lvl 12 is more than enough to be competitive. Overall, Paying to play seems superflous to me so far.

I've been f2p but joined a week after release. No free trial premium either. Hit level 20 today, did all the missions and event match wins. I've been decently lucky with pulls and have a couple decks that I enjoy playing in the pvp event. I was entirely focused on making fun decks to play at first, now i'm just starting to look at collecting the cards I haven't pulled yet. Its slowed a lot, but I'll still log in for daily missions and to open my packs. Hopefully I luck into some of the pesky holos I need haha

The expert challenges are quite easy. Just set a goal for one or two challenges, play it 1-5 times, if you don’t see that you can get any of the challenges you set out to complete then concede to save yourself some time and restart. The CPU is very prone to making mistakes so it’s not impossible. Ive been done with all the challenges for about a few days now and I’m a free 2 play player. On a side note, I think that if you’re buying hour glasses and opening 20-50 everyday you’re going to get burnt out quicker than free to play players. The game is so barebones at the moment that spending money doesn’t seem like something that needs to be done.

yeah im tryna get the mew but as a f2p player its hard 2-week premium pass is good but its ended wonder pick is only good for the 1 wonder stamina ones so u can get new cards easily also when u already have tons of fire pokemon the event just is not useful no reason to play the game except from packs every 12h bc battles give like no xp anddd there is like almost no ways to get hourglasses when you are done with the premium missions, leveling up takes ages and daily missions are daily sorry for the paragraph

you're right. The game desperately needs more content or more packs. battles are a waste of time after completing the event and i basically just do 5 forfeits to get the shop credits. Also like no rewards after completing all the solo missions and the beginner/advanced quests

Yeah, my wonder pick luck is also hot garbage that I rather just use one or two wonder hourglass for the daily mission (already burn through my hourglass trying to get the Arcanine ex in the event, only got one 😅 ). I Forgot to turn premium trial off so by default I'm already not #freetoplaygang anymore lol

Events will be just about the only way to speed progression for us free to play players unless they add some more features later on I'm level 16 right now have been playing about a week and a half without the subscription I also have around 180 total cards but am missing more of the EX and full art cards but I've got the majority of basic cards

Is that 180 different cards? Small events like the current fire themed wonder event will be pretty meaningless for whales, but I've gotten a couple cards that I didn't have yet.

@shintobean yes that's 180 different cards. And yeah this event hasn't really had anything of worth in terms of getting cards but hopefully the next event will reward more store points or even straight up hourglasses

you are probably spreading your pack openings to much, I focused on pika boosters and have completed pika EX deck some time ago. rose the ladder with a much weaker version of it and slowly improved it as cards came. Now I am focusing on mewtwo boosters and I am just a ralts and kirila away from having the mewtwo EX deck. my pokedex is at 180/226. I have not paid anything nor used the free trial

I'm hoping that we'll be able to trade for some of the common cards we're missing, as I don't think I'll get everything from booster packs at this rate. They'll be releasing a mini set mid December with a lot more content too, so let's hope it's not too hard to acquire those cards.

@@shintobean as long as you don't care about all the fancy alternative art stuff, whatever you could not get with the packs you can probably get with the point exchange system, I would not worry too much. Trade will eventually come out. At the beginning you should just focus on making a decent deck in order to make the most of all the events

Yep you’re playing as a proper F2P player. Most of these “F2P” burned through all of their resources while also spreading out their already limited resources between all 3 banners lol
