I must say, Mimikyu makes perfect sense for Lyon. A Pokémon of friendly composure that has the tragic fate of potentially killing any who see it's true form. A perfect reflection of what Lyon wanted to use the Dark Stone for, and how "looking under the blanket" started killing him.

The Darkrai on his team is also rather ironically fitting as well. Darkrai doesn't intend to hurt people, it just has a permanently active defense ability that inflicts deadly nightmares on those that get too close, the only way it can limit the damage it causes is by living a tragically lonely existence on New Moon Island. In that respect Darkrai fits both the tragedy of the Prince and the evil of the Demon Lord.

@@pommybomber I would've personally said that Darkrai and Lyon seem sort of intentionally linked in some way, as Darkrai once put a young girl into a deep slumber that ended up being the death of her, while Lyon saved a girl from a near death experience using dark powers. So with those two events, I can imagine that if Pokemon and Fire Emblem did cross over, Lyon would've been the one to save the girl that Darkrai nearly laid to eternal rest using it's power.

I admit, in some of the cases, like Yen'fay and Edelgard, I see the relationship they have with their Pokemon to be bittersweet, as despite everything, they would truly care about their teams. In turn, their Pokemon would fully understand their sympathetic motives and will stand by them no matter what, even if it costs them their lives.

I'd like to offer a different pokemon for Dimitri's ace. Cobalion. Cobalion is the regal leader of the swords of justice and would likely join Dimitri's side as it could sense the kind heart behind the rampaging boar and work to help him emerge from the darkness back into the light as a proper leader and warrior. It'd be a nice way to show that even though he's evil now the kind hearted Dimitri is still in there and if things had been different perhaps he could have returned a hero rather than an enemy.

Interestingly, I thought about a crossover betwern FE and Pokémon. I picked Mons for the lords, but I also included four villains (who would work as the E4) + an OC final villain. My picks were: - Arvis: H-Typhlosion, Delphox, Arcanine & Reshiram. Typhlosion and Delphox because typing, Arcanine because the hair and Reshiram for the irony of being the truth pokémon and Arvis being a faker (also type). - Black Knight: shiny Aegislash, shiny Haxorus, Metagross, Lugia. Aegislash and Haxorus are two medieval mons and as shiny they are perfect for BK, Metagross is a pseudo with high atk and def and is also very smart, and finally Lugia as a reference to Silver and to contrast Ike's Ho-oh (BK would give Lugia to Micaiah after being defeated too). - Aversa: Mismagius, Gothitelle, Hatterene and Spectrier. Self explanatory, all female mons with witch themes. Spectrier is the closest mon to a dark pegasus. - Kronya: Zoroark, Sneasler, Zangoose, Chien Pao. First three are sharp mons, Zoroark can fake being another person and Sneasler is a poisonus kunoichi. Finally, Chien Pao is also extremely fast but frail (and I needed another legendary for her).

If you're doing Engage, here's some suggestions for the Four Hounds: Zephia : Charizard, Milotic, Eelektross, G-Rapidash, Dialga, Lucario Zephia being a mage dragon means having dragon-like and serpent-likes in her team would make sense. Galarian Rapidash is mainly due to her pairing up with Sigurd's emblem, and Dialga is for her ability to forge time-related items. Griss : Alakazam, Gengar, Whimsicott, Baxcalibur, T-Tornadus, Houndoom Griss is the prankster mage, so he'd at least have one psychic, ghost and dark type in his team each, as well as Whimsicott as a wild card. Being a wind tome wielder also means it makes sense for him to carry a flying type and an ice type. Alakazam for Celica's emblem because... teleport. Marni : Azumarill, Medicham, Slaking, Aegislash, Darmanitan, Granbull Marni is the type that invests in a lot of strength and not much else. It's only fair her team would be seemingly obvious heavy hitters, as well as ones with abilities that double their attack. Darmanitan and Aegislash is also a good combo given her wielding Roy's emblem. Mauvier : Cradily, Dusknoir, Steelix, Blissey, Cresselia, Boltund Mauvier is the wall with support options. His team would mostly reflect that as well. Cresselia being the Micaiah rep. All the hounds have a dog in the team because why not lol

I’m surprised Validar makes the list when Grima doesn’t… I feel like Grima would have a mixed bag of various villainous archetype Pokémon with Yveltal as an ace given his MO of consuming life and revelling in the spectre of death in mortals. Probably would have a Hydreigon in there to match his bad attitude. If I could put more thought into Iago than whoever wrote him, I’d say Zoroark would be in his lineup, given that of his few appearances of any worth include illusions and trickery, and it matches his colour scheme. I also think the thematics of the Dark type as a whole could also get more of a look in, as the connotations imply underhandedness and evil of the physical human kind in contrast to the more supernatural Ghost and blatant viciousness of Poison. I question the choice of words describing Rhea as ‘two-faced.’ She’s deceptive, and when pushed ruthless but both sides are genuine, two-faced generally refers to when one side is disingenuous and the other, worse, half is not. Multi-faceted yes, but the kindly yet strict Archbishop Rhea and the warpath madwoman Seiros are both genuine entities. And I feel that giving Nemesis the spot when he only appears at the last hour in one route in favour of one of the Agarthans who are present, more entwined to the plot and setting as a whole… would have been a more appropriate choice. Giving Rhea or Nemeis a Marowak would have been a dark little joke I think, but I think that Tyrantrum would be a more fitting ace mon for Nemesis given his reborn state and status as an ancient king on a rampage with Xirkitree being a more fitting member for an actual Agarthan. And I feel like this is a little bit petty but to clarify, Letizia is not Veronica’s sister but a distant relation. They grew up close and called each other ‘sister’ as a gesture of affection.

Her last name Hresvelg is based off off of Hræsvelgr an eagle that flies above the world tree in norse mythology which is said to be the originator of the wind. While Yveltal takes inspiration from the same thing along with its signature move being a flying type move further likening them to each other on the wind aspect.

How come Marth's world gets 20 villains? FE 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, and 13, all take place in the same world. FE 1, 3, 11, 12, and 13, all take place in the same continent with Awakening just being the same place over a large space of time. 2, 4, 5, and 14, all take place on a different continent from the Marth games but still the same universe

Now that Engage has been out for almost three months I think we have enough information to add it to this concept, so I came up with the following villain teams: *Hyacinth:* Fighting type trainer to represent his martial master class, but also dark/ghost to symbolize how he succumbed to the fell dragon 1. Mienshao (literal martial arts Pokemon) 2. Umbreon (supposed to represent an Elusian cat, he seems like a cat person tbh) 3. Weavile (it's cold in Elusia) 4. Breloom (filler, but can connect to Lyn being the Lady of the Plains as well as martial master) 5. Urshifu (Rapid Strike Style; martial masters always attack twice) 6. Decidueye (non-Hisuian form, and also his ace since Lyn's emblem ring is the one he uses) *Griss:* Mainly psychic-type trainer since he's a sage, but has a couple dark and ghost mons too 1. Alakazam (quintessential sage Pokemon) 2. Chandelure (he probably needs one with how dark it is in Elusia castle) 3. Reuniclus (bulkier psychic type is fitting since the man's got an insane res stat) 4. Zoroark (would probably disguise as Slowking to bamboozle psychic counters) 5. Slowking (comes with a great sp. def stat so he can savor all the pain) 6. Delphox (his ace since he favors Celica's emblem ring and likes jumpscaring people with Warp Ragnarok) *Zephia:* Multitype trainer with a preference for dark, psychic, and flying types 1. Honchkrow (she's one of the main commanders in the Elusian army) 2. Gardevoir (booba) 3. Hydreigon (she needs at least one dragon type since she literally rides one) 4. Hypno (she mind-controls both Veyle and Hortensia throughout the story) 5. Togekiss (filler pick, but I can see her using one) 6. Kangaskhan (her ace since she's the "mother" of the four hounds) *Veyle:* Multitype trainer, and I also thought it would be a nice touch for her to have caught one Pokemon in each country she wakes up in 1. Shiftry (caught in Firene) 2. Jynx (caught in Elusia) 3. Camerupt (caught in Solm) 4. Mismagius (wears a witch hat just like how Veyle wears the draconic helmet) 5. Absol (filler pick, but fits her black/white motif) 6. Salamence (her ace, and will absolutely mega evolve and show how Lord Sombron's power is limitless) *Sombron:* As the Fell Dragon, he unsurprisingly has a lot of dark and dragon types 1. Dusknoir (opens portals to other worlds, kinda like how Dusknoir does, especially in PMD) 2. Tyranitar (a titan of a dragon deserves a titan of a Pokemon) 3. Dragapult (makes sense since he has a 4-range attack) 4. Tentacruel (he has tentacles? ngl I'm reaching here) 5. Palkia (his main goal is to invade other worlds, so why wouldn't he have the literal space god) 6. Eternatus (I'm between Palkia and Eternatus for his ace, but Eternatus does look the most similar to his dragon form) In making these teams, I realized two things: 1. I know people have criticized this game for repeating its villains, but I didn't realize how right they were until I found I could barely even come up with five suitable ones for this list 2. This game really likes dark types
