So wait... a descendant of Emperors.... translated Pokemon??? Wow.... just wow...
@ghirahimlefabuleux89843 жыл бұрын
They weren't royalty in the 20th century. They were nobility. The emperor he is descended from is Seiwa who reigned in the IXth century. It's not uncommon for the nobles to be all related to their king/emperor in some way due to centuries of arranged mariages. It doesn't mean that they would be considered royalty today. Only the first few of their ancestors were and after enough generation they slipped into regular nobility. The only Japanese royals in the 20th century are the direct relatives of the past four emperors. To give you a bit of perspective on how ridiculous it would be to consider every descendant of a king as royalty, you should know that it was calculated that most Europeans and Americans from both north and south America were descendants of emperor Charlemagne due to how many generations passed since his reign. Charlemagne is about as old as emperor Seiwa so if we were to consider every descendant of Charlemagne as royalty then half of the world would be french and german royalty, which is of course not aproved by monarchists from both of those countries since they have actual royals closer to the last reigning monarch like in Japan.

In the case of Belledam, there is actually a historical poem about a faerie called the Belle Dam. To quote Wikipedia: "La Belle Dame sans Merci" ("The Beautiful Lady Without Mercy") is a ballad produced by the English poet John Keats in 1819. The title was derived from the title of a 15th-century poem by Alain Chartier called La Belle Dame sans Mercy. Considered an English classic, the poem is an example of Keats' poetic preoccupation with love and death. The poem is about a fairy who condemns a knight to an unpleasant fate after she seduces him with her eyes and singing. The fairy inspired several artists to paint images that became early examples of 19th-century femme fatale iconography. The poem continues to be referenced in many works of literature, music, art, and film.

Man thx for making this. My first game was Emerald in 05 but I was a big fan of the original run of the anime so this was awesome to see which pokemon we missed out on.

I really enjoyed this video, u saw that they put a lot of effort and passion into it, appreciate it. For me it felt like a fanfiction video, that became Canon hahhahaha I wouldnt mind if they put these pokemon actually in the games centuries later.

This is actually really exciting. I was giddy the entire time thinking of an alternate reality where I got to play with these 'mons. :)
