Why didn't Eric switch Ray in to the Incin slot and go for a water spout in game 2? It was extremely likely that Naoto was going to bring Groudon in on that turn and his Groudon and salamence would have eaten a full power water spout.

Ryan Aubertin Easy to say in hindsight. Naoto didn't switch his Lunala the entire Game 1 so Rios may have thought he was going for the consistent Moongeist Beams. It wasn't an obvious switch given the way Naoto played prior to that turn

@@petelim477 looking back I see why he may have chosen not to make that play. There was a mind game going on and the way Naoto was playing so far was very unpredictable so I can 100% understand.

I think Eric expected wide guard from Lunala (a similar situation happened in game 1), so water spout wouldn't have caused any damage
