u can. beat him with 6 pokémon on ur team. u can choose but he’ll let you go sort your team. put away the extra pokémon and save before talking to sycamore again. how i got my charmander

great video! btw u don’t hav to battle sycamore each time just beat him with 6 pokémon the first time. ull be able to select the pokémon but he’ll let u go empty ur party.go back and save before talking to him and it’s super fast cuz you already selected it earlier so u don’t hav to go into the little menu of 3 pokémon

Love your commentary! Awesome nuzlocke. Too bad on that dugtrio lmaoo modest … smh!! I subbed:) only critique is that i feel horde battles is an easy way outta hunting in these games. So many good encounters and you chose the easy ones… eeevee, hawlucha, rock smash encounters, pumpkaboo… not hating just saying. These were the first games i hunted in so I know.. i spend my whole fall break in high school collecting a whole box of horde shinies.

4:10 That's not true. You can make this hunt a 40 second reset by filling up your team before you battle him and then decline on accepting a pokemon by going back on the screen it tells you which pokemon should be replaced.

I'm not sure if this is true, but maybe the bug gym leader didn't use infestation cause you only had one pokemon? Even though it's super effective against grass types, I think NPCs mainly use it for trapping purposes. But since you only had one mon, there was no point to trap it

I'm playing in Pokemon Y on Citra now, and I also choose Chespin, with name Nutti, because its cute, and Chesnaught cool. With him in my team are Blastoise Natan, Talonflame Super fly, Aurorus Lohn(from Lohnes), Doublade Katana (I don't get dusk stone yet) and Skuntank Tanuka. My worst by level mon is Skuntank, plus he has not so good moves right now, my mons in early 40's, and beating fairy gym.

You don’t need to defeat the Pokémon during chain fishing, you can just run

Actually if you would've just gone to catch a full team of normal Pokemon you could've refused sycamore when he asked you to take the pokemon and when it said add to party just hit the back button. Then go clear out your party and you can then hunt the starter without the long cutscene and fight.

You are actually able to shiny hunt the second starter quickly but you have to have a full party of Pokemon when you beat professor sycamore he will send you to the Pokemon Center to empty space in your bag and when you come back you can save right in front of professor sycamore and keep restarting until you get the shiny starter FYI I found this out after I tried shiny hunting the Kanto starters in this game 😭

No you dont have to fight Sycamore everytime to get that shiny. Everyone knows you can just spam the soft reset. All you have to do is keep your party full. Refuse to take the 2nd starter, n make an empty slot. And come back to get the pokemon chosen.
